Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best BR #81, worst UK #87 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

First as, it's my first time return to a new game after long 10 years. I like the shadow generations part, added some very cool and new things and all. Secondly, i don't like the changes done a lot to the dialogs and the cutscenes. Sonic knows it's green hill after saving tails, that's a good change. The cutscenes are all... live i think? Looks much better than the old video resolution files. Most i just don't find it seemingly necessary to change a lot of lines in major way, which should've stayed in 2011. Amy had a character of her own in the cutscenes, whatever the reasons it was changed didn't go out well compared in 2011 which is literally an old game. Sonic puts his hand on her face so she does not get anywhere closer, instead it's replaced with two cupcakes. Amy just shoving Knuckles off flying into the tree was comedically done well, instead this one does not send him flying to the tree. Etc, etc. Too long, until you check the rest of it yourself. There's not much visual changes in sonic generations than the original 2011, just few UI added features, little few contents there, not really bad, just lacks meaningful changes. Lack of mod support than the original which as of this day of the review i'm writing, can't tell there will be. Good thing i still have the original, to my own, i prefer the old dialogs and the cutscenes, especially that has a lot of modding. Just play the original, then play shadow generations if i were to come back. I just don't really care if people don't agree with my opinion, but this could've been a standalone shadow generations rather including another sonic generations which barely puts much in difference, like just get the 2011, then grab this for shadow generations, like the price just seems ridiculous. Censorship is just bad. In total exchange, i'm just going to stick with the original, thank you very much for convincing me why the original is better.
Genuinely one of the most simple yet fun sonic games to play. You're put through a unique experience while experiencing genuine cool and well-paced growth on Shadow as a character. He's not just being edgy, he's confronting his past, and I think they nailed it perfectly. Thank you SEGA for a short yet memorable update to a beloved old game <3
this game is so good
HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
BEST GAME SINCE 2024!
The most fun that i have had in a while. Great gameplay and alot of call backs and references from past games. Even with out the nastalgia it is one of the best sonic games to get in 2026.😁 p.s. i don't know how to spell nastalgia because i skiped english homework to play this game and it was worth it.
