Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best BR #81, worst UK #87 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 8.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I really enjoy the s3xual tension between the 2 hedgehogs. Very engaging gameplay.
I do not know where to start with this game. I remember playing this on my Xbox 360 every single day after elementary school. So much fun playing as both Sonics and beating the stages over and over and over again.
--- SONIC GENERATIONS ---
As Sonic's 20th birthday, it provides old stages of Sonic's past to the, at the time, present where it has you can play Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic with each stage having two acts. Act 1 for Classic and Act 2 for Modern. The stages are incredible in design and they offer so much replay value as well with the game as a whole. The iconic music blaring into your ears as you play is something Sonic can't get wrong (Unless you're Sonic Chronicles). Everything in this game is the definitive Sonic experience and the peak of Sonic as a whole.
--- The little downsides ---
The thing I'm disappointing isn't too big but it has to do with the settings. The framerate is locked for 30 fps and 60 fps while the old version can be counted up to 144 fps. (The old version is delisted but you can buy in a 60 dollar bundle packaged with old Sonic games. Better than delisting them entirely like SEGA did with Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi like wtf SEGA). Not to mention textures just look the same like the old version which kinda sucks for being a remaster. Aside of these issues the game is perfect as it always was. NOW we get into the main bread and butter!!!
--- SHADOW GENERATIONS ---
Shadow Generations is one of the best Modern Sonic experiences we have gotten. Taking the inspiration of Sonic Frontiers, there is a combat system. Shadow has abilities you can unlock which makes level design just beautifully smooth to go around with. The white space that Sonic goes through is a big open zone like Frontiers yet significantly smaller. Comparing to Frontiers and SXSG the open zone design is a massive improvement! No silly rails in the air (well there are) but they're connecting well enough they just don't look out of place like Frontiers looked.
--- GAMEPLAY ---
The combat here is an improvement from Frontiers. Shadow has the abilities to shoot Chaos Spears where he can stun enemies, turn on buttons to progress levels or platforms, and even make you get faster air time after a boost (which sadly is just a glitch but is still a fun way to make gameplay interesting). You can punch enemies into the air and launch them to hit higher areas or use to get an advantage throughout the level. There are the Doom Wings where you can get into a Super like form where Shadow is invincible and can fly around like he's Super. Doom Surf can just let you move on top of water and break items or specific boxes. Chaos Control where you can stop time and in some cases there are green auras that can speed you through the level. Then onto my favorite ability, Doom Morph. You turn to a squid like creature and you can swing and launch off purple blobs and as well swim in purple goo like surfaces. This ability will be hard to figure out at first but it as very easy to master it. It is so fun where you can boost off a purple surface and get a ton of speed and air time.
--- Some cons tho ---
The biggest grip of Shadow Generations is the level design and overall speed of the game. Just like Frontiers and Forces you are slow. This is the biggest grip I have and if I can't boost the overall fun of the gameplay drops. This has been a problem many fans have with the modern gameplay of Sonic since Forces. While the level design is more to fit the movement of Shadow, it is still frustrating. We have longer and more fun levels of Forces and Frontiers I can admit, but mixing this with Sonic Generations can be a bit weird when going from one game to the other.
--- Final Words ---
Despite the cons of Shadow Generations, I haven't had this much fun playing a Sonic game in a while. It is a big improvement from Frontiers and I hope SEGA can give Sonic Team the biggest support to give us a game that brings back Sonic's glory. The way Sonic is right now is a very positive direction and I'm excited to see whats next!!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Its pretty short. Maybe sonic just isn't for me, but the fights are just long repetitive sequences that really aren't enjoyable. A lot of the levels feel like the game is on autopilot and what you can interact with is minimal.
Amazing game from SEGA. I especially love how smooth the 3D is in Shadow Generations. I also like expanding the collection over time. I would totally recommend this game to any Sonic fan.
Sad that this game is somewhat of a REVAMP of a previous Sonic Anniversary game. Now the current anniversary celebrates SEGA supporting the death of its customers.
level design of the new campaign relies too much on automation
The game ran like ♥♥♥♥. It was fine for a few minutes but then after a while I would be getting in the 5 fps range. 0/10 unplayable, Denuvo needs to die.
Lowkey the best Sonic Game ever made ngl
