Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
It's not perfect or as quite as good as Sonic Mania, but it's still a very good 2D Sonic game overall. There are some very cool ideas in certain levels and it's clear there was a lot more care put into this game than most Sonic games from the past 20 years. And yes, it's a significant improvement over Sonic 4. Some of the enemies are really cute, too. Minor Downsides: - I'm getting a lot of performance issues under Proton. (Runs fine at a steady 60fps under Windows, though.) - It does have a few occasional frustrating parts. (Although to be fair, the classic 16-bit Sonics sometimes do, too.) I can't comment on the multiplayer, haven't tried it.
Sonic super stars is not sonic mania 2 it’s a local multiplayer sonic game but once I realised it was not sonic mania 2 and took it for its own game I started to enjoy it a lot more and had lots of fun the bosses can my a little slow but it’s a good game

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

the games good i would recommend it to anyone wanting a newer look for sonic 7/10
HOWEVER Not at the full price. I got this game by the Sonic Frontiers x Sonic Superstars Bundle for $24.00 total (yep precisely $24.00) I'd say it has some good visuals and some good music. But I wouldn't say better than Sonic Mania. also it's a good thing they fixed it from nagging you to create an epic games account to play online during its release, but if you are having problems with spindash, it happens if your FPS goes above 60, so I advise keeping vsync off. Fun fact: I also played this on the switch a couple years prior (yeh Ik sonion ring so financially responsible of me😎) Anyways. no spacebar to jump, NO SPACEBAR TO JUMP? ♥♥♥♥♥ WHAT IN ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HELL IS THIS MADNESS OF ASSAULT ON PC GAMERS!?!?1!1!? Same problem with origins man🥲, Thats why I had play on ps4 controller. but otherwise, buy it if on a sale, but I wouldn't buy on full price. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I wish I had a switch 2 before buying the switch port🥲 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what was nintendo thinking
ta gra jest chujowa i mnie wkurwia
satan's ahh crack 10/10 would recommend a team of 3 people with no sleep to play this game. Its super(stars)
♥♥♥♥♥
I'd say if you want a bite-sized game, go for this game. But 40 euros (or 60 euros in the past) is just not worth it. Wait for a sale or buy the sonic frontiers bundle that's going on right now. If you already own frontiers you get it at a cheap 12 euros
보스전 화병나는 게임
The first time i played this game, back in 2023 on my Switch, i didn´t like it that much, like, it was ok but considering this released after Sonic Frontiers and ESPECIALLY in a post-Sonic Mania world, this did not resonate with me, however a few weeks ago i decided to replay it, and somehow this time, i enjoyed it! In fact, i actually REALLY liked it! I don´t really know why, maybe it´s because i knew what to expect this time but whatever the case may be, it finally clicked. First things first, i need to adress something, as much as i like this game, one aspect of it is undoubtedly atrocius, it REALLY ruins the experience for most people and i can´t blame them, that being, the bosses. Jesus Christ, these are THE WORST Sonic bosses i´ve ever seen, they are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying, boring and LONG, especially the final bosses. I beat the main campaign and basically cheesed the final boss because i didn´t care about it, but i will NEVER finish Trip´s campaign. I tried, i REALLY tried to beat Fang but it came to a point where i just did not care about it, i wasn´t having fun and i decided it wasn´t worth it, which unfortunately means i haven´t actually played the final boss, but you know what? suck my balls Sonic Superstars, i don´t care. Ugh see? It already puts me in a bad mood. THAT BEING SAID, these levels are so much fun dude :3 For some reason Sonic Team has always struggled when it comes to Sonic and friends´s physics, and that includes 2D games, but im happy to say that these are pretty much 1:1 with Mania, while there ARE some differences, trust me, they are pretty much indistinguishable, i´ve played those games to DEATH throughout my entire life so it speaks volumes that i can barely notice any differences. When it comes to the levels, they are really fun. They aren´t as vertically big as S3K or Mania nor as deep as those games´s levels, however i still think you can have fun blasting through them, the design is just... fun idk what else to say LOL. I love that each level have their own gimmicks and most of the time they´re really fun, like, Speed Jungle finally implemented rail grinding in a classic Sonic game!! I ADORE Press Factory act 2, where you have to be fast enough to get to the next button to not instantly die by the looming threat of the bomb drone in the background, it´s a fun and interesting challenge not seen in a Sonic game before, but one that utilizes Sonic´s main gimmick of going fast in an interesting way. Huge shoutout to Pinball Carnival act 2 too! A haunted house aesthetic in a classic Sonic game is something i never knew i needed, but it´s so cool! Not all of them can be winners though, i really hate some of these, especially Cyber Zone which just feels like washed down Sonic CD and the stupid mouse thing that is actual cyber hell. Golden Capital is kind of whatever and Frozen Base is a very weak last level before the final Eggman themed zone Oh yeah, this game´s Eggman´s base level is cool! especially act 2 where you have to go backwards while the level resets, a very interesting use of time travel in gameplay. The game also has these emerald powers you can use, and they´re fun to use. I like the time stopping one, it comes in handy in Press Factory. The water power up is really helpful in water levels... too bad there´s only 2 The fire ball is always useful and works exactly as the burst wisp in Sonic Colors DS. Uhhh, idk these are pretty situational and you can spend the entire game ignoring them, but they are fun sometimes, i don´t think they worsen the game at all. Music is amazing, i know a ton of people hate it but i don´t get it. I get that sometimes it tries really hard to sound retro but like, that´s pretty much it, these melodies rock! They are energetic, fun and a worthy addition to this franchise OST I don´t really have much to say about this game, i know it´s not the best game in the world, the bosses suck and after Sonic Mania, a MUCH MUCH MUCH better game it can be a dissappointment, but all i want to say is that if you´ve played this game before and didn´t like it... give it another shot in time attack to skip the bosses, maybe you´ll find somehting. In many ways this is like a ¨baby Classic Sonic game¨ the levels aren´t as big, it´s not as grandiose, it´s nothing groundbreaking like the classic genesis games and it can be kind of short, but i think that´s fine really, we don´t need EVERY game to be a masterpiece. I think this game got dealt a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hand, because it came out AFTER Sonic mania, and it costs 60 dollars at launch (btw, do NOT pay 60 bucks for this game, i love it but jfc, wait for a discount, it´s NOT worth 60 bones) Like, how do you surpass the peak of 2D Sonic? Well, you don´t. At this point, there´s not much else to do with classic 2D Sonic, these games already peaked with 3K and Mania, and ANYTHING that came out after the latter would be a dissapointment, i don´t think Sonic Team need more classic 2D Sonic games. Anything THEY could do with the formula was already done and it´s time to move on to a more experimental 2D Sonic, hopefully with Modern Sonic to make use of his more diverse moveset. Sonic Superstars isn´t aiming to be a masterpiece like Mania, and that´s fine, because it´s good at what it wants to be, a fun 2D Sonic game, and i think that´s enough. Sonic Mania will always be the better option, Sonic Origins will always be the better option, but after 30+ years of playing those games endlessly, it´s good to have some more simpler content to just blast through in an afternoon, besides, i think we´re all at the point where we can appreciate a smaller 7/10 game, especially with EVERY company trying to create the next AAA masterpiece that will be the next big thing (looking at you SEGA and your stupid ¨AAAA¨ game) That being said, don´t pay 60 dollars for this game, either buy Mania AND Origins with that money or wait for a discount, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
