Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

this game is awesome
At first the I thought the bosses were passable... until the first Fang boss fight, it was abysmal. THE LAST ZONE ABSOLUTELY SUCKS AND THE FINAL EGG MAN BOSS BATTLE IS EVEN WORSE( its way less worse if you use sonic). Idk how bad the final Fang battle is but I heard its not any better. Sonic doesn't have the insta-shield but they kinda gave that to Amy, I don't think she has invincibility frames. The level design is actually good on most levels except for egg fortress. If you can look pass the boss battles and get this on sale its a fine 2D sonic game. I like the visuals but it doesn't compare to sonic generations. It runs 60fps at 900p 85% of the time.
💩 F* cell phone game.
I did a single run through last night and haven't done the extra story yet. This game is a very good 2D Sonic game with a few big, weird caveats. To start, this is very similar to most 2D Sonic games, the gameplay is familiar and very pick up and play, and familiar powers like the Drop Dash from Mania are here. The main roster has a couple extra characters and they're fun and have interesting enough gimmicks. The levels are designed competently and flow well, they replaced the lives system with medals that you use to build a robot for a battle mode (?????) which is a pretty okay diversion but obviously nobody is online for the battle mode in a Sonic game. I would have liked if you could play as your bot in the campaign or you used the medals to unlock production art or costumes or something. The little minigames are all pretty good, they keep up the formula of saving and improving one minigame style from a retro sonic game while adding a completely new one. I like the idea of the powers and of the four I've unlocked two are incredibly useful while others are completely incidental. The game also tends to put checkpoints next to bottomless pits, which is an odd design decision for a sonic game. Usually they're at the end of long strips of land to build momentum so I had more than a couple deaths to just, running to the right on spawn. I think they're using a similar Amy moveset as Origins which is... fine? But in my opinion hammer jump is just way more fun and interesting than an increased hit distance, double jump and a kind of weird running attack. I'm not gonna take points off because she didn't cost extra she's just not as fun to play as she is in the advance games, or really most mods that add Amy. The big issue with the whole experience is there's a ton of bosses in this game, and there are only two that are good. Many of them are multiphased and slow down the game to a crawl. Some of them have mechanics that rely on odds so it doesn't feel satisfying to fight them. I think they probably could have either omitted some bosses or shaved a phase off and the whole game would benefit immensely from that. There are also a couple glitches that in themselves are fine, like a cheap death here or there or falling through a seam, but they're compounded by the bosses being way too long. Also the boss invulnerability timer is extremely generous, requiring you to wait for a full second or two AFTER they stop flashing to hit them again. This game has a consistent issue with awful visual tells on bosses like that. They're built into the levels so you can't really skip that part on replay, if it was a separate boss act it would be a little more tolerable. If anybody played this at all they would immediately realize that nearly every boss sucks, and it's incredible that they were made by the same team that designed the rest of the game and were never fixed in any way.
The extra story and character are great, but her story is just hard mode versions of the levels, most of them are fine, if a little obnoxious, the standard add more enemies/spikes thing. The bosses for whatever reason feel a little longer and it just makes their design problems stand out more, the temple fight with the big fan is actively awful, and to top it off you just get to a random point in the middle of a stage where you can't enter a gate without a chaos emerald power, which is on a level that you wouldn't be at yet in trip's campaign, so you have to leave trip's story and go into the main game so you can get the specific emerald they want for that barrier, instead of just adding a single path that doesn't require it. It really feels like they designed this in an afternoon.
The visuals are fantastic, an extremely bright and colourful game with excellent texture work and animation. All the little incidental animations are fun as well as the cutscenes. Some things suffer or look awkward from the hd treatment, like they use the balancing animation in a couple spots where it doesn't seem to make sense, like spinning or falling through platforms. The music is great, with a lot of solid melodies and a wide variety of styles, it feels like they got the A team for the music department here. One theme seems based around one note on a specific instrument being nostalgic to another level, but the actual composition is completely unique, which is an interesting way to allude to Sonic's history without being completely masturbatory about it. I like the sound design a lot. Overall, I think this game is great. I think it would have been received more warmly if Mania wasn't already one of the best games ever made, but it scratches the itch and it's more Sonic presented well, even if a fairly large portion of the game consists of the worst design decisions I've ever seen in my life.
Best Sonic game since Sonic 3, and I know that's going to piss some people off but it's true. Mania had good, quick levels, sure, but all Mania really was is serviceable nostalgia. Superstars is a fully realized "classic" game in every way except the glaring issue of it being in 3D. Even I can't defend that decision, they would've made so much more money if this were somehow 2D. Regardless, the gameplay is on par with the original trilogy.
me aburrio y eso que soy fan de la saga hace 25 años :/
