Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's ok: Not too flashy, not too shabby. Get it when it's on discount.
I actually really ended up enjoying this game, although I can certainly identify some of the flaws that people take umbrage with (albeit most of them did not actively hinder my enjoyment of the game). I really like the level design in this game and can't say I actively disliked any of the levels. A couple of late game levels can drag a little bit long, but it was never too tiresome. The music is really good in this game, I found several songs to be super catchy (My favorites probably being Speed Jungle Act Sonic and Egg Fortress Act 1, though there are plenty of other great songs). Graphically I would say it's fine for being 3D models, it still feels within the spirit of classic Sonic. It's not gonna blow you away graphically, but it's serviceable. Bosses I found to be creative and mostly fun, but I can definitely understand some of the complaints about the bosses dragging too long. The last 3 zone end bosses in particular, although they're fun, drag a really long time without checkpoints; if someone were to be struggling with these bosses, I can definitely see someone being frustrated at having to struggle through these fights with how long they are and how far you can get only to have to start completely over. But I think for the most part this game is a fun time to play through. I personally played as Amy since I liked her double jump, but all 4 playable characters are fun to play as and I like how there is one level per character scattered throughout the story to give them all a chance to shine (albeit they are skippable, I did do them all). I wish it was like most classic Sonic games that had 2 acts per zone, but sadly that is not the case, with some zones only getting 1 act and some getting 3 (2 normal acts plus a character acts); there were two zones in particular I thought were super cool (Sky Temple and Cyber Station) that I thought were super cool but sadly both got saddled with the 1 act treatment. There is a new game plus hard mode story you unlock where you get to play as a new character, but I personally didn't go through most of that since I didn't feel like enough had changed to really warrant another playthrough on a harder difficulty, but if you really wanted to play more of it, the challenge is there (I've heard it gets very hard with an exclusive final boss that is notoriously difficult). You get these medals throughout the story, but they only serve to buy skins in the shop for Battle Mode (which in of itself is pretty mediocre) and the stuff in the shop is way too expensive for the rate in which you actually collect medals (although I've heard the new game plus gives you more medals than the base game). I like that the Emeralds actually have their own special skills tied to them, but I honestly didn't find myself using them most of the time. They act as like a sort of special move or temporary move modifier you can activate, but I didn't find them that intuitive. I think it would've been better to have just had them as selectable passive move modifiers that you don't need to manually activate and just choose one to be active (like having the different jump types from the shields in S3K as different Emerald modifiers). Although I've never played the story multiplayer myself, I've heard it is one screen instead of split screen and, if so, that just does not work for a game like this, so I would encourage single player play if that is true. I played Mania before playing this and I actually had more of a fun time with this game, which is reverse to what you'll hear most Sonic fans say. Artistically I would give the edge to Mania, with the beautiful bit graphics that game has and also having a great soundtrack, but the level design I didn't find quite as fun and the limited lives system that can send you back multiple levels does not respect your time and I thought the bosses were overall worse in Mania. I had a much more fun time playing this game and I personally feel if this game had the same art style as Mania and had more nostalgia bait thrown in, this game would be getting the same love as Mania does. This game truly does feel like a brand new classic Sonic experience in the modern era and, while it has its hiccups, I think it is well worth at least playing through the base game. I do feel that the base price is a bit much for this game, but if you find it on a good sale, well worth picking it up.
An... okay at best experience. I think S/T/K are alright gameplay wise. Amy and Trip are just not fun gameplay wise. Most of the animations feel very weightless, even if the character models are nice. All the levels are unremarkable at best and frustrating at worst. Camera is just way too close to you. Bosses deserve the reputation they have. Most of the Chaos abilities are pointless when they aren't just prompted to you. Fang's inclusion was a great marketing stunt, I'll admit, but his inclusion in this game really equates to nothing. She's an ugly design with nothing to reel you in gameplay wise. Her campaign is pretty much just a run back with nothing interesting added, never bothered to beat it.
Jeu sympathique. S'il est en réduction foncez !
ITS TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE FULL PRICE, but if u get it in a good sale it sure is worth it wonderful 2D but they made sonic kinda stiff to handle around, if your coming from SONIC X SHADOW GENS its pretty close to that game's sonic (except the absurd speeds) but if ur coming from SONIC MANIA u wont like how he controls like at the start
