While I haven't fully completed every single game here... I played enough to know that Sonic Origins is an amazing way to play the 4 classic Sonic games! With some quality of life changes in the aniversary mode to make them more fun to play, that being said, I'd like to take the time to rank each game individually, simply because... I have a few different taste with these games Sonic 1: The game that started it all... and wow, it certainly did not age well... even with the addition of spin dash and drop dash, 5 of the 6 zones are pretty bad, with the only good one being Green Hill Zone. Which is the reason why it's safe from F tier, while I can definitely see how this became an amazing game during the 90s, there are far better 2D Sonic games you can play instead of Sonic 1. I give it a 3/10 (D+ Tier) Sonic CD: It's level design compared to Sonic 1 is miles better, and I actually like the time travel gimmick in this game... also, this was the game that introduced my Crossworlds main, Metal Sonic... so of course there's going to be a bit of bias here. I give it a 8/10 (A- Tier) Sonic 2: If Mania didn't exist, this would be the best 2D Sonic game that ever existed, a massive glow up from the first game, with no bad zone here at all! (Metropolis Zone is just mid... okay...?) Although, I was a bit annoyed with the final boss and the special stages, but once you figure it out, it's no longer a big deal... I give it a 9.5/10 (S- Tier) Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Now if this was Sonic 2 and Mania didn't exist, this game would be the best 2D sonic game, with great physics, and a good soundtrack. (yes, even this version, and I heard that the OG is better... but at least this version is alright... okay?) Originally, I was too harsh on this game due to the fact that I was stuck in the loop in Ice Cap Zone. But after realizing that I had to do a simple thing to get through to the next section, I gave this game a lot more love... I'm sorry 3&K for being dirty on you a week ago, now instead of giving you a 7/10 (B+ Tier), I'm giving you a 9/10 (A+ Tier) Overall, Sonic Origins is an amazing way to play the classic games, without emulating the games at all. I'd recommend getting this if you want to play the classics if you haven't already... I'll give Sonic Origins a 8/10 (A- Tier)
