About
Near the town of Dead Hawg, past the Grimwood, at the very PEAK of Mount Awful, there stands a crumbling tower of mortar and stone.
Deep within this foul edifice, the blackest necromancer of modern times, Solomon Dark, sits on his horrible throne.
As a near graduate of the Wizarding College, your final exam is to storm Solomon's Keep. Dispatch the dark wizard, loot his evil possessions, unbind his horrific minions, and prove to your teachers once and for all that you're not as stupid as you look.
----
In Solomon's Keep, you move your wizard with one thumb, and fire magic spells with the other. As you destroy enemies, you earn experience points. Gain enough experience, and you'll gain a level, and can select new skills to help you ascend the tower.
Along the way you'll find gold and magic items. Your helpful teachers are there to explain the ins and outs of wizarding, sell you a few useful items, and even give you a few tips to improve your skills.
Along the way you'll encounter Solomon's skeletons, zombies, imps, and more. You might even encounter an undead king, and Solomon's meticulously reconstructed maggot vomiting skeletal dragon.
You'll have a chance to master 21 skills and wield over 50 magic, rare, and epic weapons.
With random dungeons and monsters, Solomon's Keep offers infinite replayability. It's never the same game twice!
If you're fond of action RPGs, Solomon's Keep will satisfy your black heart.

This game was a staple in the "dungeon-delving", roguelike scene back in the haydays of the original iPod and it was a pleasant suprise to see it here on the App Store. Looking through rose tinted glasses with my countless hours playing it on my old apple devices, it's a must have. Standalone, the game still holds up in my opinion. It's satisfying, easy, and learning what spell combinations and upgrades are good is still pretty fun. This game is dated in content and graphics but the gameplay still holds up in my opinion. I'm actively supporting any games Rapisoft decides to release on Steam because those guys were my literal childhood (Hamsterball eventually perhaps...?)
This is a wonderfully faithful revival of the classic mobile game. You get to explore the randomised dungeons and experiment with different spells and gradually becoming powerful enough to confront Solomon himself. The gameplay and attention to details makes every journey up the Keep thoroughly enjoyable but also very addictive, gg!

still one of my top favorite phone games since its original release 16 years ago
Really love to see the game again, used to play it on my ipod now I can play it on my pc, steam deck, rog ally, I now have these games on all my devices. But sadly there are some things i don't really love, for starters the text is blurry kinda hope they fix it, if not I can deal with it. Another minor thing is the fact that in the little outside places on ultra wide at least you can see the terrain pop in it is only a tiny bit on each side but very noticeable. I haven't seen that on my tv yet since i am not super far into the game. B̶u̶t̶ t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ i̶s̶ a̶ m̶a̶j̶o̶r̶ p̶r̶o̶b̶l̶e̶m̶ t̶h̶e̶ c̶o̶n̶t̶r̶o̶l̶l̶e̶r̶ d̶o̶e̶s̶n̶'t̶ w̶o̶r̶k̶ w̶h̶e̶n̶ y̶o̶u̶ g̶o̶ i̶n̶t̶o̶ y̶o̶u̶r̶ b̶a̶g̶ i̶t̶ o̶n̶l̶y̶ g̶o̶e̶s̶ u̶p̶ a̶n̶d̶ d̶o̶w̶n̶. S̶o̶ y̶o̶u̶ h̶a̶v̶e̶ t̶o̶ g̶r̶a̶b̶ y̶o̶u̶r̶ m̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ t̶o̶ s̶e̶l̶e̶c̶t̶ r̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ a̶n̶d̶ s̶t̶a̶f̶f̶s̶. that last part was fixed by disabling steam input for some reason that breaks the game. But at least my controller (8bitdo ) works without that enabled.
I can say that i'm happy that i get to play this game with a real controller. getting gratuated in college multiple times is fun.
