Reviews
Largely RNG-dependent rougelite that quickly becomes an absolute nightmare once you realise how many runs end because you're forced to skip turns repeatedly while the enemy gets free hits on you. Deck management simply isn't there and you can't plan for much beyond one or two mechanics because the enemies' mechanics are largely randomized also. This ain't it.
While having an OK core, Solitairica relies way too heavily on rng without bringing enough diversity to the runs. To make the matters worse, the animations are painfully slow, to the point when the card flips feel like a torture. Yes, even with the speed up setting turned on.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love solitaire games and really want to love this, but this game is insanely grindy while also being heavily RNG dependent. One or the other would be ok, but eh combination just means often repeating the same few levels over and over and over and over again to grind out enough gems for one upgrade (which must be repeated for every single upgrade for every single of the many different decks)
I would like to give this a positive but the RNG in this is just completely unfair and getting even remotely close to the end is completely luck not skill or creating an advantage with the power ups you can buy. Most of your turns are having to pass while the computer adds more cards, poisons you, changes the cards, drains your abilities, stuns you or attacks you and kills you before you get anything you actually need. Also to unlock new decks or abilities you need to grind a lot with failed runs to the point you will probably have to do 100s just to unlock everything. You earn on average between 6 - 18 a run as you wont get far and everything costs 40-60 for small unlocks or decks. The idea is good but with the grind and the completely unfair RNG I just cant recommend it. If you do want to give it a go get it on a heavy discount
very unfair RNG which punishes the player more than reward them or assist them to win a match lol you have 1 heart left, the enemy attacks with 10 just to spite you and that last card shown is 2 while you have a 4 because this game loves to rub salt in your wound. you have 0 control of the RNG or any spells to help with choosing a better card or a 'joker' card which is a no-brainer since the steam tag includes 'strategy' lol i don't recommend it at all unless your astrology sign today reads 'super insanely lucky'.
I have now played this game every night for the last few and while I do enjoy what there is to offer, I cannot recommend the investment because of the feeling that the RNG is completely unfair to the player. I have tried a multitude of combinations and characters and cannot get over the hump of the unfair nature of the game itself.
There are so many other options in the roguelike deck builder genre that you’re better off playing. Slay the Spire and Monster Train 2 are two that come to mind. Solitarica lacks strategic depth and is too RNG heavy to be worth your time. It feels like the proof of concept for a game rather than something actually worth playing for its own sake.
As much as I want to recommend this game I cannot. The RNG is completely unfair on you, you are either stunned, poisoned, on fire or have ever changing cards. Getting to the end is complete luck. I just got the final boss, I had 3 revives, I lost everyone because he had 5 rotations, one being adding 7 extra cards, I could not clear the cards quick enough before he was adding more. Complete bull.
This game is fun on Steam Deck and a good relaxing game to play when you are watching something and don't need to use too much brainpower. I used to play this on Ipad years ago so it was easy for me to pick up and play. The controls are really good on the Steam Deck. I've haven't tried it on PC as I would rather play other games. The progress through unlocking decks and deck upgrades is painfully slow though so I can completely understand the negative reviews.
As others say Id love a mid option, its decently fun to a point but the RNG is atrocious. Also towards the end when the enemy attacks do more than youre entire life bar when full is not respecting the player or their time. So a good few hrs time waster and if youre super lucky enjoy.
