In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.

Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World
Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions
The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
Dungeon Maker
In Solasta, the adventure does not stop after the campaign is over. Unleash your creativity and craft your own dungeons to play and share with friends with the snap of a finger using the in-game Dungeon Maker! From the room layout, monster composition and treasure the party will find – down to the decoration and lighting of each room or the music track playing – everything is decided by you.

This is a pretty great game; and an amazing D&D Simulator; really impressive work, enjoyable all around
Not far into the campaign yet, but so far I am enjoying the game. Mostly standard fair for a turn based RPG, though some of the systems and mechanics are different to most of the games I have played. The graphics and sound are quite good, though the cutscenes can be a little cringy, but are not too bad. If you enjoy turn based party RPGs then this is a good one to play, plus it will get one ready for Solasta II.

This game is 5e dnd. Really well done, about 30-25 hours base and two more after that. its missing some stuff like polearms, but it is a good romp.
If you like playing 5e tabletop, you will probably like this game. To me, Solasta feels more like a genuine replication of the tabletop experience than Baldur's Gate 3. That doesn't mean it is a better/worse game but it is ultimately a different experience that is more focused on combat and faithfully replicating the 5e (2014 version) SRD ruleset. I had quite a bit of fun with the original campaign. The character models aren't great, but they do their job. I don't think the story is as terrible as some people say. Yes, it's pretty basic, but pretty much on par a common tabletop campaign. Your party meets in a bar and then gets assigned a quest that ends up morphing into a mission to save the world from relatively generic evil creatures. There's no romance or really deep moral grey area questions, but the plot still works as a passable excuse to adventure and fight monsters. If you're looking for full party customization and fun combat, you've got it here. The biggest downside is that many classes and backgrounds are locked behind DLC. If you're looking for a deeper story with exploration of interpersonal relationships between the party, you may be disappointed.
