About
In Sol Cesto, your goal is to descend through the levels of a randomly generated underground world, diving ever deeper in search of the sun, lost for countless years. On the combat grid, choose one of four rows to move into. You'll then land randomly on one of the four tiles in that row: will it be a monster that harms you? A chest full of gold? Or perhaps a deadly poison trap? Anything can happen…
It’s up to you to weigh the risks of each tile as you clear the screen. Of course, your character will grow stronger, and magical items, special powers, and sinister curses will help you bend the odds in your favor and keep fate on your side.
5 biomes to explore, each hiding monsters and traps with unique behaviors
7 characters with distinct powers, stats, and abilities
Stone teeth that change the game’s rules and probabilities to tip the scales in your favor
Metal teeth that trigger devastating curses and combos
A wide range of items to eliminate enemies or escape dangerous situations
The strange underground inhabitants, some of whom may share their secrets with you
And many more surprises…

PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY DICE Reply "PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY DICE" and good teeth and fairies will come to you
Sol Cesto is a wonderful game. Although it is listed as a roguelike, it is not a tight roguelike ala Slay the Spire where every move is calculated and preparation for the next encounter or boss. Sol Cesto does have roguelike elements, but is ultimately a game about discovery. You'll discover many hidden secrets. Treasures! New items! Special ways to use your items! and teeth?. It has great artstyle and animation. It is so much fun to get to a new level and see the new enemies. See how strong enemies cower when you have more strength than them. See the new traps and the cute little animation that they have. However, once you find out most of the secrets, the runs themselves are not particularly difficult. You can win almost any run with any character. If you look for something challenging that allows you to pull off some insane engine that you've built, this is not the game for you. There is none of that here. It's about the discovery of the new and novel, the beauty in the art of trail and error and I think that makes this game worth it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Sol Cesto is a quirky twist on roguelite games, with a chance base strategy/puzzle approach, all together with incredibly ugly (complimentary) medieval inspired art. I couldn't recommend it more if you like either of these things :)
Lots of fun, great style
Game desperately needs something to speed it up. Takes quite a few runs to get through to the point where you can progress further, but you've probably already figured out how to consistently make your way through well before that time. Feels like doing a chore to play a video game where I'd rather just be vacuuming the floors or something.
it sucks that you have to kill cute little guys
I have not been this absorbed in a game in a long, long time. I had so much fun figuring out all the little, weird things I could do to make stuff happen. I highly recommend this game to anyone who who enjoys the bizarre and beautiful art and addictivly fun gameplay.
The world and art of this game are beautiful. It's as if Yellow Submarine and Monty Python were corrupted by a dark nightmare. I enjoy playing one run a night once you unlock enough items to make it deeper in the dungeon. The gameplay is super enjoyable and unique enough to want to pick it up specifically. I have only played through with one character, but even so, I very much recommend.
Clicking on a 4x4 grid has never been this exciting! Play if: - You love gambling - You understand statistics and can handle it beating your ass - You love cool art - You love clicking on random stuff on the screen Don't play if: - You prefer action roguelites - You don't like it when statistics beats your ass Overall really solid title. Big fan of how the different enemy animations help me understand the status of the board at a glance. The only thing I'm meh about is playing as Warrior and Hunter (hard to get them started) but that's mostly because my luck is booty buttcheeks on them.
