Achievements STILL do not work. Buggy/Slowed gameplay. Controls are odd on Xbox controller and no way to change. Very disappointing. Low-end emulation port with 8 year problems.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ A Fantastic Retro Collection — But Missing a Few Classics! The SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is an absolute treat for retro gaming fans and history buffs alike. It’s packed with beautifully preserved classics, offering both arcade and console versions, along with bonus features like rewind, save states, and museum content that dives deep into SNK’s early years. The presentation is clean, the emulation is smooth, and the attention to detail really shows how much love went into this collection. The included titles are a wonderful reminder of how innovative SNK was long before the Neo Geo era. Games like Ikari Warriors, Crystalis, and Guerrilla War play great and feel just as fun today. It’s a great way to experience SNK’s origins before their fighting game dominance took off. However, it’s disappointing that Baseball Stars for the NES — one of SNK’s most beloved and influential sports titles — wasn’t included in the Steam version, even though it appeared in other releases. Its absence definitely leaves a noticeable gap in what’s otherwise an excellent lineup. It also would’ve been great to see some ADK games added to the mix, though it’s understandable since ADK wasn’t officially part of SNK back in those early days. Still, a few nods to that legacy would’ve made the collection feel even more complete. Even with those omissions, SNK 40th Anniversary Collection remains an outstanding celebration of gaming history. It’s informative, nostalgic, and a joy to play — a must-own for fans of classic arcade action. 🎮 9/10 – A brilliant retro collection that could’ve been perfect with Baseball Stars and a few ADK extras.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 19.2/day in the week to Jul 16 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I can pay $30 or more on ebay for Crystalis for the NES or I can buy it for $30 or under on Steam but ebay doesn't ship God Slayer: Haruka Tenkū no Sonata with it and I prefer the Japanese God Slayer version more. Then you have Prisoners of War, Guerrilla War, Iron Tank and two and a half Ikari Warriors games that cost about $140 for all of them on the NES. Then there is the Arcade versions for people that like the games to be "easier" and "run better". Games that have better graphics and all the content they were created with in most cases. Wouldn't recommend this to the average person, just retro gamers. I would imagine the majority of people will be after either Crystalis / God Slayer or the arcade versions of TNK III, Guerrilla War, Prisoners of War and Ikari Warriors. Then there will be a group that's after Athena and Psycho Soldier. Anyone that buys this just for Athena on NES deserves to play Athena on the NES.

Gráficos / Video6Pixel art auténtico; encantador si te gusta, tosco si no.

Ambientación7Arcade noventero/ochentero bien marcado: ninjas, milicia y sci‑fi.

Efectos (VFX)6Explosiones y flashes retro: cumplen, no deslumbran.
