My boyfriend and I played demo of this last year and it was a lot of fun. Found out it released a few days ago and had to make sure to pick a copy up for both of us to play. So if you enjoy Mario Kart games you will enjoy this adorable game. Your cute animals riding snowboards with parachutes while launching stuff at your rivals. Also I LOL'd when I watched a pair of ferrets pass me on a pizza. Yes a Pizza. There is a lot to unlock, more animal characters, boards, parachutes, costumes, ect. This game is really impressive for a solo developer, I honestly wouldn't have guessed one person made this. So yeah if you like party style racing games like Mario Kart, get this game. It has both split screen and online play.
Definitely worth the 18 bucks. I only finished the first 2 parts of the campaign, and there's still a lot of content left. I still haven't even reached the non-snow campaign sections yet. The gameplay is very fun too. At first the items were frustrating in the item races. But once I learned the power-ups and realize that blue presents are defensive/boost items and red presents are attacking items, I started to strategize power-up my usage and enjoy the item races. The tutorial is a good way to learn the basics, while the guide is a useful source of information for stuff the tutorial doesn't mention. I like playing on the "too fast" because I like fast paced gameplay in extreme sports games. If you like customization, there's a lot of customization items you can unlock as your character levels up. The characters, boards, and wing gliders have noticeable differences in them gameplay wise. Some gliders turn better, while one might glide faster in the air. One board might be very fast, but not good for tricking. While another board or character can do a bunch of spins and flips easily. You can really come up with some clever character/equipment setups for each game mode.

Slopecrashers hits just the spot for people who feel that itch for old school snowboarding arcade games! Several carefully thought out tracks with various paths in all sorts of environments including snow, dirt, sand and even water, create a feeling that nicely balances the line between old-school simplicity and modern graphical enhancements. A roster of different animal characters all with their own stats, boards and cosmetics, spanning from a lemur with a scarf to a chicken riding in a frying pan all the way to a penguin or even two cabybaras sharing a board; create great variety in every race and allow you to be yourself on the slopes. Race or tricks, slow or fast, items or none, on snow or sand, alone or with friends; Slopecrashers gives you all the choice you want. Item boxes can be featured in events with items that explain themselves very well ranging from simple boosts to homing rockets or defensive choices. Some of these items can also be used backwards to defend yourself. The controls are quick to understand and easily customizable with different presets and helpful features such as a trick safety to stop you from over-spinnng. A mix of gameplay from the likes of Snowboard Kids, Plumbers Kart and a slight hint of SSX, this game will scratch just that itch!
Addictive gameplay. It reminds me of Sonic Riders. Once I had mastered the controls I was flying through the stages like a shooting star. The last unlockable character gave me a good laugh. Thank you for the chicken.
i can't believe someone played more snowboard kids than me
It's Mario Kart but snowboarding and with fun cute characters... Why haven't you purchased it yet? That's the only information you need.
Slopecrashers is a refreshing throwback to simpler days of casual couch co-op gaming. The game scales nicely to accommodate different skill levels, with various safeties/assists that you can toggle on or off for a bit of a challenge, so experienced players and noobs can play together and feel fairly matched. The characters and unlocks are hilarious and have been a much needed source of dopamine. The one thing I would ask for would be a toggle to allow 'contact', to enable 'SSX Tricky' style knockdowns, or maybe a mario kart style 'ram'. I'm not sure if that would be on theme with the game's naive style but in the middle of the pack being able to knockdown or shove other players off course would be a delight. I also need to know what happens if you collect all the hidden letters?? I'd thoroughly recommend Slopecrashers if you're looking for something in the sphere of mario kart on PC, its a polished arcade game with endless charm
Very good game
Definitely a game just about anyone can appreciate and here's hoping byteparrot can refine the formula etc. for future entries.
well i mean, The Old kids are also enjoying this game,
