The avalanche starts behind you and it never stops. Distance is the only thing between you and it.
You are a penguin in a bobble hat. Ahead of you: an endless procedurally generated mountain — treelines, glacier fields, boulder gorges, icefalls, and a summit night lit by the aurora. Behind you: a wall of snow that does not get tired.
Carve the fast line. Send the jumps. Smash everything breakable on the way down. And when the mountain finally catches you, drop in again.
An endless descent, never the same twice
The mountain is generated as you ride it, through five zones over 8.4 km before it loops back harder — Alpine Forest, Glacier Field, Boulder Gorge, Icefall, Summit Night. Every run is built from a single seed, so a great run is one you can hand to someone else and dare them to beat.
Race ten penguins down it
- Sprint — up to ten riders, one shared mountain, 2.5 km to the finish gate. First one through takes it.
- Elimination — everyone gets their own avalanche. Last penguin still riding wins.
- Quick Match for public races, or a five-letter join code for a private one.
Racers jostle rather than wreck each other. A bump is a shove, not the end of your run.
Carve, send, smash
Tuck for speed, brake to hold a line, hop over what you should have seen coming. In the air: spins, front and back flips, grabs, and a combo multiplier that keeps climbing as long as you keep landing. The mountain answers in four ways — things you crash into, things you smash through, glare ice you glide across, and herring you collect.
Six ways to ruin someone's run
Item boxes roll you one of six:
Rocket Herring for a boost,
Mega Snowball,
Brain Freeze,
Fishsicle,
Belly Bomb, and
Bubble Wrap for surviving the one that is already coming for you. Carry up to three at a time.
Weather that means something
Seven weather states — clear, fair, flurry, snowfall, squall, whiteout, sun break — walk on the same seed as the mountain, so the storm that hit you at 3,000 m hits everyone else at 3,000 m too. The sun runs from morning through midday, golden hour and aurora twilight. The clouds and the aurora are raymarched volumetrics, not a painted skybox.
Forty-nine ways to look ridiculous
Eight costume slots — hat, eyewear, neck, back, flippers, ride, belly marking, eyes — with 49 items and four palettes, previewed live on the title screen. Six ready-made presets if you would rather just ride.
