Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Aquí cuaja… a medias.

Sledgehammer / Gear Grinder takes the simple idea of putting enormous weapons on heavy trucks and builds an entire arcade experience around speed, collisions, gunfire, and destruction. Developed by Targem Games and published by ESDigital Games, it sits somewhere between an arcade racer and a vehicular combat game, with little interest in realistic motorsport. Instead, the road becomes a battlefield where reaching the destination is often less important than surviving whatever is trying to destroy you along the way. The driving model suits this philosophy. Trucks feel substantial enough to make collisions entertaining without becoming cumbersome simulations of real heavy vehicles. Ramming an opponent can be just as useful as shooting it, and the constant combination of movement and combat gives encounters an energetic rhythm. There is pleasure in simply throwing a huge machine down the highway, using its mass as a weapon and responding to threats with whatever equipment has been installed. The handling can feel rough compared with more modern driving games, but its loose arcade nature complements the exaggerated premise. Combat provides most of the personality. Vehicles can be equipped with melee equipment as well as light and heavy weapons, allowing the player's truck to gradually become a mobile arsenal. Armor offers additional protection, while nitro gives speed another tactical purpose beyond ordinary racing. These elements create a straightforward but satisfying progression system. Money earned through successful activities can be invested back into the truck, so completing objectives gradually increases both offensive potential and survivability. That progression loop is one of the stronger reasons to continue through the campaign. Upgrades produce tangible changes rather than merely filling progression bars, and becoming increasingly destructive provides a satisfying sense of escalation. The game does not offer an exceptionally complicated customization system, however. Players looking for detailed mechanical tuning or elaborate vehicle construction will find the options comparatively straightforward. Its upgrades are designed primarily to get players back into combat quickly rather than encourage hours of experimentation in menus. The main campaign is accompanied by six single-player minigames, which help break up the regular structure and provide additional ways to engage with the driving mechanics. This extra content is welcome because repetition is one of the experience's biggest limitations. The basic loop of driving, attacking enemies, surviving confrontations, earning money, and improving the truck becomes familiar relatively quickly. The minigames cannot completely eliminate that repetition, but they prevent the single-player offering from feeling like one uninterrupted sequence of similar highway battles. Multiplayer was designed around matches supporting up to eight participants, with both cooperative and deathmatch possibilities. Cooperative play allows drivers to combine their strength against large enemy trucks, while deathmatch embraces the competitive side of the mechanics and asks players to determine who can survive the resulting mechanical carnage. These modes are an excellent conceptual fit because the unpredictable mixture of weapons, speed, collisions, and oversized vehicles naturally benefits from having human-controlled opponents. Given the title's age and niche status, however, multiplayer should be regarded as supplementary rather than the primary reason to purchase it, since finding an active public player population cannot be assumed. Presentation is noticeably dated, although the rough industrial appearance also gives the experience some character. Vehicles are appropriately bulky, weapons are visually obvious, and explosions provide the spectacle expected from an arcade combat game. Environments are considerably less impressive and can appear sparse, while effects and animation lack the sophistication associated with newer vehicular combat releases. Nevertheless, visual fidelity is not especially important to the central appeal. The satisfaction comes from seeing trucks collide, weapons fire, and opponents being overwhelmed by increasingly powerful machinery. The audio similarly focuses on supporting the action rather than creating a particularly sophisticated atmosphere. Engine noise, impacts, gunfire, and explosions reinforce the aggressive nature of each confrontation. Combined with the visuals, they create the feeling of participating in an exaggerated highway demolition contest. The presentation works because it understands what needs emphasis: machines, speed, weapons, and destruction. Steam Deck compatibility deserves some caution. The Steam version officially lists Windows as its supported platform and does not currently provide a confirmed Steam Deck compatibility status. Full controller support is recorded, which is encouraging for the control scheme, but controller support alone does not guarantee reliable SteamOS or Proton operation. As a result, Steam Deck owners should treat the game as unverified rather than assume complete compatibility. It may be possible to run it through Proton, but there is not enough official compatibility information to describe the Deck experience as guaranteed. What ultimately keeps the game interesting is its lack of pretension. It does not attempt to be a realistic trucking simulator, a serious racing title, or a highly technical vehicle-building game. Its goal is to provide an arcade playground where large trucks can be transformed into rolling weapons. That focused identity gives it charm even when the mechanics reveal their age. There is immediate satisfaction in accelerating toward an enemy, opening fire, smashing through obstacles, and using earned rewards to make the next encounter even more destructive. Its limitations are equally straightforward. Repetition eventually sets in, the driving and combat lack modern refinement, environments can feel basic, and the upgrade system is not deep enough to fundamentally transform the experience over time. Yet players who enjoy older arcade games and vehicular combat may find these shortcomings easier to overlook. The combination of campaign missions, minigames, vehicle upgrades, weapons, cooperative ideas, and competitive destruction gives it a distinctive personality. Overall, this is a rough but entertaining piece of old-school vehicular action that succeeds primarily because it commits fully to its central concept. It is at its best when treated as uncomplicated mechanical mayhem rather than a sophisticated racing experience. The dated presentation and repetitive structure hold it back, but the satisfaction of turning a heavy truck into an increasingly dangerous machine provides enough momentum to make the campaign enjoyable for the right audience.
