Highly enjoyable Tower Deffense title. I was not highly enamoured by the demo (I could not get anything other than cannons), but sensed there was something there. This game really stretches my brain to get the right mix and positionig of towers - I'm gradually losing by less, which is the real appeal. Interesting upgrade paths. The only thing I don't like is the "spongy" mouse pointer.. A good value for money title that keeps drawing me back for thar one more try.
Chachichuchichache. En otras palabras, es chachipiruli, chingón, copado, bacán, chévere... Also awesome. ¡ ^ ^ ¡ ◕ ◕ L ╲~~~╱
Taweno, compralo.
Right now, for the price, I would recommend. That being said, it is very barebones compared to other games in the same space, even for an Early Access title. Comparable titles I've played include Rogue Tower, Mineral Defense, and Crystal Guardians TD. I'll make comparisons to those. Towers: They're fine. Textbook selection of single target and aoe towers. Nothing fancy there. The cost increases with each you build. The targeting options are limited and I'd really like a "random" option. I'd also like a slow option that doesn't involve unlocking a tower and using specific upgrades on that tower. Meta Progression: This is where the game struggles the most right now. Any unlocks you get for the towers just give those upgrades a *chance* to appear. There are no permanent upgrades for the towers specifically. In the other mentioned titles, there was always something to make you feel stronger in subsequent runs. There are global upgrades, but you really need the cards to make a tower feel good. Income: Feels really bad right now and if this is the first thing to get changed in an update I hope it is it. Enemies reward the same amount of gold from the first thing you kill on wave one to wave 25. There are meta progression upgrades to get more gold per kill but you'll very quickly hit a point where you're maybe building one tower on a wave. Given that the waves take longer and longer because the map keeps getting bigger this makes the later waves feel very slow, even with the 2x speed option. You spend a lot of time just sitting around waiting. This needs work. Mineral Defense gave me nodes to mine, Rogue Tower had risk/reward with Thievery and cottages, Crystal Guardians TD had tower specific and relic upgrades. Right now, you're basically forced to unlock each tower, not because you necessarily want to, but because you need cheaper building options. Enemies: The waves need balance. EA problem, not going to comment much further. 15-25 doesn't feel fun because again, they take too long, and every enemy is health based. If you weren't prepping for these waves ahead of time you're not going to have the gold to pivot effectively. Bosses are just bosses, they don't drop like a chest for bonus upgrades or extra gold as far as I can tell. Overall, right now for the price it's fine. Once I beat wave 25 I don't think I'll keep playing to try new things because there isn't anything to make each run feel different aside from the random map layouts.
Perhaps this will see some improvements, then it might be fun to play. I don't mind convienient things like there is no possibillity to pause the game, that can sucks sometimes because of real-life reasons. But mostly annoying is this: the path is total random. Thats fine. Then it splits randomly, thats fine too! But in most of my games the bosses spawn at the shortest or second shortes path, so that there is not enough time to deal with them. Especialy annoyint with the zombi-one. And the money production can't hold step with increasing difficoulty of the levels. Would not be such a problem, if the pathfinding of the bosses would be more gamer friendly
