Skystead Ranch

At first I found the game clunky and slow. After a couple of hours, though, I started to get into it: terraforming the island, befriending skylets, accessing new zones, planting food for the skylets. Some things I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to do, but I was enjoying myself. Moving into the mines made the computer grind endlessly (or for about three minutes anyway), as did leaving it again,, which is a problem. Also I'd had issues with exiting to the main menu taking several minutes *every* time. Finally this morning I hit a point where my computer was telling me that the program wasn't responding when I was trying to exit. A one-time issue is okay, but this was very clearly a trend. I'm not willing to fight a game in order to get anything out of it. Revised after another 18 hours: I'm not sure why I'm still playing this game. I want what the game *could* be, but it's so frustrating to see what it *isn't*. So much stuff that doesn't work. So much stuff that could be handled better. And yet I've been having trouble figuring out what I want to play next, so here I am. My roommate is threatening to take away my computer so she doesn't have to hear me complain, but here I am. The whole concept just appeals to me so very much. Next day: Okay, I'm finally done. Too many game-breaking bugs and important things that have never been implemented. There are issues the devs could have fixed with really simple workarounds days into game, and they didn't. This game should never have been released in this state, and then it's like they just threw up their hands and said oh well, I guess we're screwed. They should take this game down off of the Steam store. It's really in no state for long-term play, but it's almost impossible to realize that until you've been playing for more than two hours, meaning you can't even get a refund.

This game is very cute It's very much a Creature Collector but you are changing the biomes of each area to attract new creatures I liked that a lot There are some bugs right now but hopefully they get those fixed The one these I did not like was the camera Took some getting use to the controls for it, interesting and not what i'm used to. The camera reminded me of Guild Wars 2. I did have to up the sensitivity cause moving the camera around made the game feel clunky. Once I had that upped. It was very easy to move around, except when using tools. The way the camera works while using a tool is very much like playing Luigis Mansion.

I was given a free steam key for this game for a fair and honest review. I have found the game to be relaxing and refreshing. It is a chill game that you can enjoy at any time of the day. I look forward to creating more content for this game.

This game is cute and cozy! I enjoyed it. the creatures are so cute and as you get them to love you they become so colorful! It reminds me of another cozy game and that I loved in the past. I would like to be able to customize my character, but it's not game breaking. I enjoyed the narrator was really funny! I look forward to what they do in the future with it.

Having restarting this game several times i finally got 2 of the Skylates to tame But I'm really enjoying this game, but I do know the Devs have had a bad opening weekend. i will continue to play this game i would highly recommend if your looking for a chill terraforming game.

I've been looking for something similar to Viva Pinata, and Skystead Ranch is as close as I've come. It's easy to play and extremely releaxing.

Fun little creature collector game but steep price tag when there are other more polished alternatives out there.
