For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞: The idea is interesting, there are hardly any other similar 2D platformers with a skate theme (at least on Steam), but the implementation is wild, because there is no training, but there is only a list with combinations of 30 possible tricks and, as if at a time, well, there is NO WAY to REMEMBER them at all. You will have to suffer and sweat through heaps of failures, and most importantly, do not understand why... the picture and the music here are the simplest, the level of a Dandy and there is simply nothing to look at. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭: They would be ashamed to make such a 2D platformer about skateboarding with ridiculous and ridiculous animations. I don't advise anyone. 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠:𝟸 /𝟷𝟶.

Skater 2D is a fast-paced arcade skateboarding game that takes clear inspiration from the classic extreme sports titles of the late 1990s and early 2000s while translating that style into a side-scrolling format. Developed by Mihai Morosanu, the game focuses entirely on trick combinations, score chasing, and level objectives rather than realistic skating simulation. It embraces a simple but energetic design philosophy where momentum and combo-building become the heart of the experience. While the game lacks the polish and scale of larger skateboarding franchises, it still manages to capture much of the addictive arcade spirit that made older skating games so memorable. The gameplay centers around completing challenges across multiple skate parks and urban-inspired environments filled with ramps, rails, half-pipes, and hidden gaps. Players perform tricks by chaining together manuals, grinds, flips, and aerial moves into increasingly larger combos. The satisfaction comes from maintaining momentum while linking different tricks together without crashing. Landing a long combo after balancing across rails, transferring through ramps, and finishing with a clean landing creates the same rewarding feeling that fans of arcade skateboarding games have always enjoyed. One of the game’s strongest qualities is its objective structure. Each stage includes numerous goals that encourage replayability, including score challenges, hidden collectibles, and trick-specific objectives. Rather than simply skating aimlessly for points, players are constantly pushed to improve their movement and explore every section of a level. Revisiting stages becomes rewarding because mastering advanced routes and cleaner combo paths leads to higher scores and additional unlocks. The large number of objectives helps extend the game’s lifespan despite its relatively straightforward mechanics. The trick system itself offers a decent amount of variety for a smaller indie project. Players can execute over thirty different tricks while combining manuals, grinds, and special moves into extended score chains. Balance systems during manuals and rail grinds add tension because players must maintain control while continuing combos. Special tricks also reward players who successfully sustain momentum over longer periods, encouraging more aggressive and creative playstyles. Visually, Skater 2D keeps things simple but functional. The 2D side-scrolling presentation makes it easy to focus on timing and movement during fast combo sequences. Skate parks and urban levels are colorful enough to remain visually distinct, even if the environments themselves lack heavy detail. The minimalist art direction helps maintain clarity during gameplay, especially when players are moving quickly through levels while attempting difficult trick chains. The soundtrack and audio design support the arcade atmosphere effectively. Grinding rails, landing tricks, and chaining combos all produce satisfying sound effects that help reinforce the flow of gameplay. Background music maintains an upbeat pace that fits the energetic tone of the experience, helping sessions feel lively even during repeated attempts at difficult objectives. What makes the game enjoyable is its commitment to arcade-style skating rather than realism. There are no complicated simulation systems or realistic physics calculations slowing the action down. Instead, the focus remains entirely on speed, combos, and replayability. This straightforward approach makes the game immediately accessible, especially for players who miss the simpler score-focused structure of older skateboarding titles. However, the game’s limitations become noticeable after extended play. The controls can occasionally feel stiff or inconsistent, particularly when attempting advanced movement combinations or precise trick timing. Manuals and grinds sometimes lack the smooth responsiveness needed for longer combo chains, which can lead to frustrating mistakes during otherwise successful runs. These issues become more apparent as the difficulty increases and players attempt higher-level objectives. The overall production quality is also fairly modest. Animations and environmental detail are relatively basic compared to larger skateboarding games, and the presentation occasionally feels closer to a retro browser title than a fully modern release. Some players may also find the gameplay repetitive over time since much of the experience revolves around repeating levels and optimizing combo routes rather than unlocking major new mechanics. Despite these flaws, Skater 2D still succeeds in delivering a fun arcade skating experience for players who enjoy combo-focused gameplay and replayable challenge systems. The addictive cycle of improving routes, increasing scores, and completing objectives remains entertaining throughout most of the game. While it may not compete with the genre’s biggest titles in terms of polish or depth, it captures enough of the classic arcade skating formula to remain enjoyable. For fans of retro-inspired skateboarding games and score-chasing arcade design, Skater 2D offers a lightweight but entertaining experience filled with tricks, combos, and replayable objectives. Its rough edges and limited production values hold it back from becoming a standout skating title, but the core gameplay still delivers enough fast-paced fun to satisfy players looking for a smaller-scale tribute to classic skateboarding games. Rating: 6/10
I will simplify this for you. It is nearly a work of art. The game reimagines Pro Skater games in 2D in a way that exceeds my expectations. Unfortunately, I have come across a bug that caused me to lose goals and consequently a level. I am unsure of how widespread this issue is. Nevertheless, once you get the hang of the controls, they are not too bad. I believe that any die-hard Pro Skater fan could derive some enjoyment from this game.
