Stake Story is a very unique experience. It feels like a dream. You are introduced to new characters that do not seem that related. Events happen that you do not fully understand but you know that you are moving forward. Then at the end it all comes together and it wraps itself up. The gameplay is great and makes skating feel super fun and cool. Tricks are easy to perform and you have a lot of freedom in how you want to create your trick combos. The level design has some highs and lows but at the minimum it still allows for fun skateboarding. It is a easy game so you have a very laidback experience. The soundtrack is amazing and was instantly added to my playlist once I finished the game. The song "Scenes from a Midnight Movie" was a song aesthetic that I had been searching for a long time. The music changed things up as frequently as the gameplay and helped keep things paced well. All of these elements come together to create a unique vibe that I think anyone can enjoy. It is a very laidback experience that still makes you think. The only problems I had was I had to restart a level once because I got stuck inside an object and it did feel like the game was losing a little steam a bit before the end. But it did still stick the landing. I would recommend this game to anyone that wants to try something new, is looking for a vibe game, or is interested in skateboarding. 4/5.
