Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to Side Effects: a tense, turn-based medical roulette game. Each round you'll be presented with a selection of pills. Some are helpful, some are harmful, and some mean instant death. You never know what you're about to consume or what it might do to your mind or body. Winning means outlasting – AKA, outliving – your opponent across the table.
Every pill impacts your resistance. Manage it wisely: zero resistance means death.
Between rounds, you can choose from a range of experimental items and treatments that can shift the odds in your favor, from vaccines to mouth clamps.
The other patient wants to outlast you. They’ll bluff, adapt, and use everything at their disposal to keep breathing one dose longer than you.

I really like it, but for some reason, whenever I start taking a certain type of medicine, it always turns out to be poison. For example, in this round there are three blue pills and four red ones. If I take one blue first, I definitely lose health. After taking the blue ones, the four red pills remain untouched. Suppose the opponent skips their turn by eating candy; if I then take a red one, it's poison again. Blue and red pills are often problem areas, and this happens every time. It's fine if it happens once or twice due to bad luck, but it almost always happens. It's not the system's judgment—whichever pill I take is always poison? Do the toxins transfer? Also, every time the opponent (in non-multiplayer games) feeds me medicine via AI, as long as there's still poison in the pills they offer, they always manage to feed it to me, every single time. I'm confused. Feeding me must be 100% guaranteed to make me lose a health point, but damn it, they always feed me poison, as if the AI knows exactly which one is poison and is just playing along with me on purpose. Creator, maybe you should adjust your code a bit? Even to reduce the AI's difficulty, this can't be right. I'm really fed up.
Good Game
I like
I suck at this game. It's definitely not for me. But I would recommend it. It's pretty awesome looking.
