S H R I M P G A M E _____________ For those of you who enjoy the PS1/2-era aesthetic, and need an arcade shooter that respects your intelligence- meet SHRIMP GAME. Shoot, Scoot, and Shrimp your way through well-designed aquatic scenery, while performing elemental fusions to turn your simple bubble pistol into a hail-firing machine gun (or a supernova vortex.) Shrimp game's gameplay loop is addicting- with a sick old-school atmospheric Jungle OST pumping as you zoom around levels and a minimal but sauced-up HUD providing your vitals- you combine elemental abilities and barrel rolls to enact Shrimp Supremacy on a cruel marine battlefield. Additionally, Shrimp Game is more than just a well-designed indie single-player experience; there's a fully fleshed out arena-style multiplayer element to the game. After some quick set-up you can join a lobby with a group of friends and krill each other to your hearts' content. The skills are pretty well-balanced but TTK is low enough to keep you on your toes- or.. maybe tails. It's shrimple. Play this game, krill your friends, and shellebrate your prawn. ____________________ S H R I M P G A M E 4 L Y F Posted May 6. Last edited May 6.

this game is so worth the money
Really cute game. Looks really cool and has some cool ideas, but there's not enough here at the moment for it to be worth buying in my opinion. Maybe the multiplayer is fun, maybe the later campaign gets more in depth, but I haven't tried the co-op or PVP, and the solo campaign is a boring slog so far. Nothing to hook me in. Weapon pickups don't feel meaningful, there's really no variation between runs because the items you find don't affect your run that much. Tasks/puzzles are mostly just annoying. "Kill every remaining lifeform" is just an exercise in finding the last sponge or coral tucked away in the corner. "Collect all the bubbles" sucks because the hitbox/pickup radius is tiny, so you have to be directly in the middle of the bubble to collect it and precise/small movements are not easy in this game. I think elements would be a lot more interesting if they affected weapons themselves, rather than just having a couple different abilities for your Shrimp - right now the impact of the different elements can only be seen every 20-60 seconds when ability cooldowns refresh. Light could have small % for attacks to arc between enemies, fire could have % chance to apply burn DOT effect, etc. Enemies, environments, and player's Shrimp all look fantastic. Music is awesome but it doesn't loop, it ends abruptly then repeats which is jarring. The vibes are here, there's just nothing to make me want to keep playing. I won't be refunding the game because I do really enjoy what is here, and the roadmap makes me hopeful that one day this will be more fun, but at the moment I don't think it's worth buying unless you try the free version (I didn't realize this existed at my time of purchase) and really enjoy it.
Wonderful game to spend a few hours on! theres a ton of achievements and unlockables, genuinely challenging and loads of fun with friends! Music and ambience are amazing and really immerse you in the shrimp game.. Krill all ur foes and get to the end
weee da wee so wpic
this ♥♥♥♥ is gas
Buck bumble if you threw it in the ocean and made it a rogue lite (kind of) Its pretty good :)
The game is shrimple. Krill your enemies. Be big shrimpin'. Save the world.
Love the gameplay, but there is a big discrepancy between completing the campaign and doing ANYTHING multiplayer, I do enjoy the different shrimp though the weapons do fee like there is a very noticeable tier-list consisting of absolutely useless, mildly exciting, and actually useful. Also unlocking new shrimp also can feel more like a chore than something you'd be able to get done passively through a playthrough but those things aside a good build and synergistic elements can create a hell of a good time krilling especially in the final act even if the adds feel superficial
-Moving through the water is smooth -The puzzles (minus the Backwaters' Scavenger Hunt) are fun to play -The Shrimps are diverse and fun to play (personal favorites are Feelsy, Bumpsy, and Meany) -The bosses are difficult, but mostly fun to face (the Eel God is a jerk and King Sea Lasher is easily one of the hardest fights in the game), -Grabbing and testing out all 21 Fusions and 36 different combinations of abilities offers many options for using the Shrimps you want (Favorites are Lunar, Blast, Glacier, Earth+, and more!) -A lot of Pearl Weapons to use to get the edge on enemies and Bosses (favorites are Shower, Burst, and Seeker) -Even though I'm bad at PvP, it's still a lot of fun, especially when u hear KRILLING SPREE -Great diversity of weapons, even though there are a couple that are too similar to each other (I personally love the BRRRRRRRRRRRRT combo of Hose, Spray, and Shower) I highly recommend exploring everywhere, especially the shrimp side quests. You can get better weapons than the gold weapons u normally get (+10 stats compared to the normal +9 of a gold tier weapon). Combining with Krill Confirmed, I have logged over 100 hours in the game and I've love the vast majority of it (dying isn't exactly fun, to be fair, though funny deaths are worth it!) I can't recommend this game enough. It's as shrimple as that. I was told by the dev to not talk badly about Aurora, so I will say this: Gaining Aurora gives great buffs to Mist Sneeze (bless you) and Frigid Beam. I actually had fun with them during the Sunken Eel God boss fight. Aurora buffed Ice abilities are pretty good and I recommend trying it out! The Fusion Ability still sucks, tho. :| Sorry.
