About
The light must never go out.
In the middle of a cold, endless sea stands a solitary lighthouse. Around it, your island begins to take shape, tile by tile, piece by piece. The sun breaks through the clouds and hope is in the air, but something eerie lurks beneath the surface.
ShoreTiles is a strategic building and defense game where strategy, wits and luck all contribute to your island’s ultimate fate. What begins as calm construction by day turns into a desperate fight for survival by night.
Build what must protect you:
Draw island tiles from an unforgiving deck and place them into your world. There is no undo, only what comes next. Connect matching terrain types, form patterns, and impose order on chaos. Efficient planning rewards you. Hesitation costs you space. But no matter how perfect your island looks… it is never truly safe.
Prepare while you still can:
Coins are more than progress, they are your only form of control:
Raise new Lighthouses to push back the fog
Build Settlements, Farms and Walls to bring your island to life and earn gold
Establish Military Camps to defend your island from they who lurk below
Because when darkness falls, they rise:
Creatures emerge from the depths. Twisted forms, neither human nor beast. Silent. Relentless. Drawn to the lights and the lives of those on the shore. Your defense depends entirely on your preparation. Connected military tiles determine how many units stand against them.
And sometimes… it won’t be enough.
As your island expands, the diversity of its structures and units grows with it.
Discover remnants of those who came before you, such as gold chests, relics and more, as well as discovering new building types & combat units through the Progress Map - However, as you progress, the fog may reveal advantages for your battles, but it can also bring new enemies.
Features:
Atmospheric tile placement centered around vulnerable lighthouses
Constant pressure from an unseen threat beneath the waves
Strategic combo mechanics with meaningful trade-offs
Nightly attacks from eerie deep-sea creatures
A fragile balance between expansion, economy, and defense
High replayability through randomized tile sequences
What ShoreTiles is:
A calm yet deeply unsettling gameplay experience
Strategic planning under growing pressure
A dark coastal atmosphere inspired by the 1960s
A constant tension between control and collapse
What ShoreTiles is not:
Not a cozy builder without consequences
Not a safe experience
No escape from the night
As long as the light burns, you still have a chance. The only question is: For how long?

I like the building sub-game but the combat portion feels pretty rough. The building phase is a deceptively deep block placer. It starts simply enough, the more tiles of a type adjacent then the more coins given for each adjacent tile placed. But then it starts adding in multipliers, across map connections and the abilities to change or destroy blocks. All of which need a decent amount of long term planning. However during combat UI elements get stuck on-screen, for example I'll have multiple Split/Pin wheels visible but none do anything. I'm also not sure when I can split a stack or not. Sometimes I can split small army stacks but then sometimes I don't have the option to split a large stack. Nothing about combat feels intuitive, I'll move the wrong stack whist trying to select another. It's just not a lot of fun. I'm hoping that there will be more updates for ShoreTiles but I'm worried the problems are too baked into the game being a mobile port rather than being designed for keyboard and mouse. I say it's a mobile port because a lot of mobile tropes have snuck in. The long pause before the group selection block starts, the tap, tap, tap to open a chest. Holding a button to activate it when a mouse click would be more appropriate. A final comment on combat, play StarCraft. Seriously, play StartCraft until its interface appears in your dreams. It's almost perfect for an RTS. Move the radial wheel over the units to the bottom of the screen (split/pin). Show the selected units at the bottom of the screen. Add Keyboard shortcuts (visible on screen) for unit selection and abilties. [edit - I've updated my review to be a bit more detailed after Voxel Studios responded]

Horrible controls, cant normally select a combat unit and send it somewhere, which makes you lose a lot of stuff for no reason. Game says you should start with a tutorial, but the tutorial doesnt actually explain anything. The game has potential, but feels like its in early acces. currently a thumbs down, maybe try again later.
A really fun gam. The kind that makes you say "just five more minutes," only to find yourself still playing at 3 a.m.
还是有点bug,第八天的时候有怪物卡住了打不死,一波怪中的最后一个怪了,总共46个小兵加速打了1分钟没打死,怪也不拆东西。 第二次打到第八天依旧是同样的问题
A hit is a hit - And this my friends, is a HIT! In all seriousness, brilliant game, lovely visuals and the music is fantastic. Great gameplay, the night time is tough but gets easier with some practice!
有一定模拟经营元素的bad north既视感
This game is addictive. I tried it tonight and it was really hard to stop playing. It’s a strategy game that really draws you in and makes you lose track of time, you get attached to your island and don’t want to leave it, and you actually care when one of your tiles gets destroyed… it’s a really engaging game. I had already played their previous title, The Bench, and I saw how much effort they put into improving it over time. I really respect the studio for their professionalism, their creativity, and the visual style of their games. Thank you for this game!
Forderndes Game. Beim Aufbauen muss man mit Weitsicht planen und in der Nacht wird es stressig. Die Kanoniere sind nervig, sonst aber alles gut. ;)
Very nicely designed and calming game. :)
