About

I’ve always loved ships and boats, tall ships, steamers, pre-dreadnought french monstrosities, I love em all.
ShipShaper is a explorative ship builder I made for the simple pleasure of shaping boats and ships. You pull, push, and drag forms into place, creating everything from humble fishing vessels to tall ships, ironclads, and early dreadnoughts.
You can create historical ships, fantasy ships, steampunk you name it.
It's a boat designer married to experimental interfaces that are intended to take away the tedium from designing boats. No 3D skills required, no endless stacks of cubes, just some organic shaping and attaching props and functional items to create whatever ship you want.
When you’re done, you can place your ships into a world and sail them, the game does a proper analysis of your creation, its propulsion, hull shape and weight, all in order so you can properly enjoy and test your creation.
ShipShaper is about creating a foundational technology that will power my own future games, connect my franchise but also empower other creators to have fun with ships and have a usable output, game-ready and usable.

Best bucks I have spend for a steam game. And I ain't regret spending 100 more to keep playing it
I love the creative freedom in this game. You can make your ship as realistic or as goofy as you want. It's very relaxing and it's really easy to lose track of time for hours on end.
This game is lovely for any ship enthusiast. You can design modern warships or age of sail pirate ships with equal ease, and go with as much or as little detail as you like. I personally think that it would be very good for anyone who wants to design fantasy ships for their roleplaying games, since you can take screenshots and export the ships very easily. The dev is responsive, and even extended the length of gaff sails when I said that I'd like them to be longer. Now you can design schooners and sloops with convincingly long hulls without feeling like the gaff sails are underhanging the back of the deck. This alone made purchasing the game feel worthwhile to me. It's absolutely a game that's what you make of it. There are no objectives, but you can sail your ships around in an open world once you've designed them, so you don't just have to admire the ship in a static environment. And since you can use your ships with a free commercial license, there's nothing stopping you from taking them into other games or trying to find other contexts where they would be useful. Overall, this is a gem of a title. I've had my eye on it since I tried the playtest, and I'm not disappointed.

This guy can't stop making bangers. I loved Tiny Glad, and this is like Tiny Glad, but you build ships instead. It's very smooth and flows very well. My only complaint is trying to cycle between all the different items. I would like a menu option to see all the different props, if possible, as there are a lot of props to cycle through, and if I find something cool and wanna place it elsewhere, if I move my cursor while having the item, it disappears. A nice bonus is you can import your ships in Bulwark and watch them in action.
Wonderful little ship building game with a lot of freedom to make something pretty unique to you. Although the editor is finnicky and getting the right part you want is a bit of a hassle sometimes. Would be nice to have all the options displayed in a tab instead of having to scroll through a list trying to get the right one. A bit of a bump in the experience but still overall recommendable.
the game i've always wanted very great hope in the future the editor becomes more useable
This is a great tool!!! Exactly what I needed. Though I would prefer to have a menu where I could choose parts to add but the current system is good too!!!
