Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 8.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
The vengeance fix many stuff, adding more story and new demons and their forms, but this is basically a game hardly damaged from the fact it had to come out for switch, so forget dangeons to explore, you will mostly run in 4-5 big open maps back and forth doing secondary missions or completism. One things very bad is the fact that the endgame grinding is not existent, you will have to find a spat where mitama spawn and grind there, or buy the dlc, it's like they did this on purpose to force us to buy the dlc. There are also no endgame dungeons for the same reasons i talked above. Still i played 182 hours cause it's a shin mgeami tensei, but this game lose a lot against the old games made with more than 10$ and a garbage hardware where the game had to come out. If you want a real shin megami tensei try shin megami tensei strange journey, a digital devil saga or a devil survivor.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Es un fumadon de porro bastante inmersivo, la historia te pilla muy desconcertado porque no entiendes nada de nada, pero como juegues 1h te metes de lleno y quieres saber que pasa constantemente. Anime time
the mitama dlc ruins the game, you can farm them and just get max level so fast and easy, made it to the winter zone and quit because it got so boring.... idk why they thought that having a demon so easy to farm that lets u level up every time you beat one was a good idea...
真的好玩的,强烈推荐,但就是魔王城迷宫玩的难受,JRPG少点这种迷宫就好了
I love my DEMONS
深度好游戏
Despite mixed feelings, I don't want to recommend this game. Unfortunately, SMT5V sets out to achieve everything, just to achieve barely anything. The game builds up many different interesting philosophical conflicts as the center point of the story. Good and evil, order and chaos, freedom and constraint... while also representing these themes with a charming cast of characters. It starts a bit slow and then gets a bit confusing, but after a few hours of letting it cook, I came to be hooked on the addictive monster collecting and fusing gameplay, especially once unique animations and mechanics started to ramp up to create a more entertaining experience. I would say the main selling points of this game are the above mentioned gameplay and a story that has significant build up, it keeps you interested in how it will go, especially with some of the unexpected plot twists. However, that's about it for the positives. Ironically the list of negatives is relatively short and it can really be summarized in one sentence: This game fails to deliver on the tension it built up. SMT5V unfortunately falls very flat when it comes to the resolution of the conflicts and tension it built up, leading to a constant stream of somewhat unsatisfying or even disappointing climaxes within the story. It leaves you with a feeling of "wait, that's it?" over and over and then you are done with the game, congratulations. The game ends on the most superficial, uninspiring note it possibly could. Very unfortunate, because it built such a strong foundation for an amazing game, even the characters were decently well written, just to throw all that away for a lackluster ending. It doesn't help the game, that it is fairly grindy and I believed this grind to be worth something, but now I feel like I wasted my time spending hours upon hours on fusing the strongest monsters, just to fight 3 battles and then the game ends. Combine that with the disappointing ending and you will not be surprised that I did not start a NG+ run. 7,5/10 While the core gameplay is decently fun if you are into turn based combat and monster collecting, the story really cripples the game in a way that's hard to describe. While playing you may constantly feel like things are going somewhere, but when the game is suddenly over, you are left with a bunch of unanswered questions and unresolved conflicts, which were the main axis of investment for most people. SMT5V unfortunately digs its own grave, by making the player expect much and leaving them unsatisfied. The game ends up surprisingly unremarkable considering all the build up it had, so I do not recommend this game, for it has squandered a great opportunity when it mattered most.
