Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 8.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good game, better gameplay than 4. The world can feel a bit empty, but if you enjoyed 3 then it should be right up you alley.
I don't like it. Nearly the entire game is just a desert with little variation. Nocturne had plenty of exoteric and odd structures to compensate for that. The magatsuhi gameplay is extremely annoying on random encounters, you will randomly lose or get half your team dead whenever you lack the dps to end the fight in one turn. On bosses this turns into either knowing which element they're gonna use and getting a free turn or not being aware and being wiped. Many times you can just spam dampeners/block for the whole fight and watch as the enemy never gets a single attack through. Demons have too much hp, in previous SMT it's normal to be able to oneshot entire groups with a single spell if you have the required stats and levels but on V I find myself being unable to end fighs quickly even against demons 5 levels below me. The story is just weird but not in a fun way. The entire world is an apocalyptic hellhole but protagonist-kun still has to worry about going to school? Not funny Japan. Yoko sure talks a lot but she never has anything interesting to say, just superficially boring observations about whatever you're doing. The other characters are so thin I can barely remember that they exist. You can pick dialogue options some times but it is implied that the Nahobino just *fluoride stares* at everydody who talks at him when you're not given an option. I know that it's supposed to be funny but I did not laugh. The music is amazing of course. The graphics are PS3 tier but whatever. The open world is just a running simulator, everything is very far apart and there's a billion miman and apples and others to find. No way to tell if that unique demon over there is a couple of levels above you or 50. Too many quests involve going backwards across the map over and over again or researching which one of the 200 directions on the map contains the next part. I am not impressed by a single boss so far. Maybe it's like an MMO and it gets better at the endgame but honestly every other SMT had grabbed far before the point I'm at on V

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Nowhere close to as good as Metaphor Refantaszio (which is newer) or SMT-Nocture (much older). I would rate this under Persona 3/4/5 as well. I dont know why they skewed so heavily into "look it's scant-clad anime girl demons" so heavily for this game, but it's pretty awful and in your face the whole time and detracts heavily from the experience. It just feels immature. Perhaps aiming for a different market (tweenage boys perhaps)? Anyways the point is, it is not a small amount, but pretty much consistently throughout the entire monster roster, nevermind the main baddie's opening attack is slapping her ass (I mean seriously, that's not an embellishment) for an 'attack' Anyways, functionally the game is "ok" - it's SMT so if you've played any SMT or Persona game, you know what you're getting into. Its nothing special. It gets to be a slog midgame. Cest la vie. For new players, just pick "Vengeance" when you start. It's basically (taking some liberties here) like Persona 5 vs Personal 5 Royal, but instead of just having the extra content integrated out of the gate (like P5R), there's a selection screen/menu choice early on within the game intro sequence if you want the extra content. There's a few tidbits not available but they are inconsequential to the run. I would rate it a 6.5/10, but would I recommend it? No. There are better games in this genre and from this developer. Paid $12 CAD for it and would feel awful paying a penny more. It is the most "meh" Atlus game I've ever played, and I've played them all. I don't know if I have the drive to finish it after 34 hours of uninspired sameness. I wish I played Nocturne or Metaphor again (or even a Persona game) instead.
You would think that the repackaged and upgraded version of the game would include all the demons, right? Thankfully, Atlus continues to surpass everyone's expectations and once again lock the best demons in the game behind paid DLC (just like they did with the original SMT V!). Atlus proves that they have learned nothing from their failures with V because Vengeance still suffers from the boring environments, painfully bad story, and unrewarding endings that base V did. In Vengeance's story, Yoko is completely hamfisted into almost every cutscene and has nothing to say other than "hm... but the world is bad!", even when it is completely inappropriate to do so. I beat both Creation of Canon and Creation of Vengeance, Demi-Fiend, Shiva, and Satan just to see what was good about this game. After 80 or so hours, all I can say positive about this game is that the gameplay is quite nice, but becomes repetitive once you gain Murakumo, and that demon fusing/collecting demons in this game is quite nice. 5/10 I'd rather kick rocks on the side of the road.
TL;DR - 5/10 (Debateable).
An absolute visual stunner. The character designs, demons, animations are all spot on 10 on 10 stunners. Sadly, it is marred by a difficulty that is best described as difficult for the sake of being difficult. And a story/character development that comes off lacking, and edgy for the sake of being edgy.
Longer review.

Gameplay - 5/10
Oh I would so love to put this higher, the mechanics of the fights are brilliant and there's a lot of depth when you look deep. However, the fights are basically decided on a macro level. Each boss is essentially a puzzle to solve. You prepare for bosses, sometimes changing out a heavy portion of your build and squad and plan. There are a few nice little team additions and innate skill synergies that cheese it, but if you are to go that route, you are limited with the number of things you can do. The whole schtick IS to have the bosses as their own tiny little puzzles. This sort of breaks the rhythm, for me personally. Going in full well knowing I would die, but just to get information for the next try, and then repeating is not super fun. The immediate improvisions or knowledge to bail out are few and far between. Sure, maybe checking the wiki or something will mitigate that, but I prefer to do things blind, and I don't think external guides should be a reference point to consider. At that point, it just becomes an exclusive chore. Affinities for instance, if you build for affinities, you get pierced anyway. The difficulty is 'difficult' for the sake of being 'difficult'. The bosses aren't necessarily hard, more so tedious. (Some bosses having this effect is nice, but in SMT V, it felt like pretty much every other boss is this way.)
Art and Design: 10/10.
I cannot overstate how carefully crafted the designs are. The intricate unique moves from say Lord Shiva, or heck, the first eye opener, from Qadistu. They excel at what they serve to showcase. And the love and attention to detail that went into it is clear.
Music: 8/10.
I did enjoy the music and sound design. It was atmospheric and lovely, and constantly elevated the experience, especially with the sound from the demons around. However, I can't rate it higher as nothing stuck with me like say Hades 2, Undertale or Persona for instance.
Story: 3/10.
Oh boy. There's literally no 'depth' in the story. It's edgy for the sake of being edgy. I still can't get over how the characters change so drastically from pretty much nothing. And the 'subtle' cues are all bland and don't do enough to justify the change in personalities. I don't mind random bs go in a story, but with some semblance of structure would have been nice. It's just over the top for the sake of being over the top. Not earned.
Overall: 5/10.
I would only recommend this game if you are into the 'grind and prepare' for pretty much every fight sort of loop. But if you feel the freedom of say BG3 wherein you can dictate your style quite well, or Hades where overall knowledge and mechanical mastery is awarded are the sort of qualities you would look for, this is NOT the game for you. If you can get over this however AND don't mind the subpar story, I would highly recommend it, the combat, and the art/design are just impeccable.
Atlus give us SMT IV!!!
Oh boy, where do I even start? The most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game I've ever played. A complete waste of money and time. The first 15 hours were actually good. The mechanics felt fresh, exploration was enjoyable, you collected items, farmed essences, found Mimans, killed that weird plant-looking thing, and enjoyed the story. But are you ready to do basically the same exploration and side quests for another 80 hours straight? I don't think so. You think 80 hours of exploration sounds like a joke? Nah. They just had to put labyrinths into every single map so you could enjoy this wonderful game even more. Want to find that Miman? Sure, go there for five minutes straight. Haha, jokes on you, it's a dead end. Now go all the way around. Miman is directly in the exact spot where you're standing? Haha, jokes on you again. It's on top of the iceberg. Go all the way around. Okay, enough about exploration. This game is about combat, right? Yep. Combat was fun for about the first 10 hours. After that, it became the exact same thing over and over again. Maybe the boss fights are fun? Despite the fact that most bosses are immune to practically everything, yep, very, very fun. Especially the alignment/status mechanics, which are apparently there just to look pretty because they barely work on bosses. I'm also really glad the developers noticed that players were avoiding basic encounters, so they decided to stack enemies around entrances and exits to make sure you couldn't skip them. And the best part? They even added forced encounters near the end of the game. Fantastic. Demon fusion? In order to do demon fusion, you basically have two options: Have endless money. Do negotiations. And demon negotiation is dumb, stupid, and pointless. At some point, it's more interesting to play Pokémon than to talk to a demon for 50 minutes just for it to tell you that you're too low-level and run away. The reward system in this game is also fantastic. Kill a demon five levels below you? You'll need about 50 of those fights to level up. Kill a boss five levels above you after spending 10 minutes fighting it? Good boy. Here's 30% of a level. Climb all the way to an iceberg to get that super shiny piece of loot? Congratulations! Here's a health pot that restores a tiny amount of HP. Amazing. The story is the best part. And that's not a compliment. If Vengeance is supposed to be a better version of the original SMT V, then I'm genuinely afraid to ask what the original version was like. Spoilers:
What happened to Miyazu? Why did Dazai become evil? What happened to Amanozako? She was constantly being introduced in the main scenario, only to seemingly get dumped into side-quest territory. Yakumo just appeared out of nowhere without any proper context. How did Tao become a goddess? Why was Sahori even needed in the game? What happened to Mastema? How did Abdiel become evil? Why is Tiamat introduced twice despite being the main villain? And Lucifer just appears out of nowhere to become the final-final-this-time-for-real-final boss. The storytelling is wonderful. Half the game, the main story gets interrupted because apparently there's another emergency that needs dealing with. Then the rest of the game is basically: "He is a threat to humanity." "We must kill him." Repeat. And did the team run out of budget for the ending? The main character ascends into a godlike being, starts running through ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ space and then... VUALA! A classroom where we see all the happy allies. Peak storytelling.
