Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 18 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

An engaging story with interesting investigations and well-designed puzzles that keep you invested from start to finish. Unfortunately, the unnecessary action and agility sequences feel out of place and take away from the classic adventure style the series is known for. The game focuses more on dynamic gameplay than pure deduction, which may disappoint longtime fans of traditional Sherlock Holmes adventures.
I found the story passable (as far as I got) but the game not as engaging as (the sequel) "The Awakened" which has better character work and generally feels more open and varied. The variation this game provides is actually a problem, because it's mostly action sequences that are long and annoying. I liked chasing a suspect as the urchin Wiggins - varied and fun, but still too long. Going up the chimney was a really nonsensical mini-game, for example. Where the game drops the ball is the Epping Forest chase where you find yourself stepping into bear traps and being shot and sinking in the swamp and making decisions on stupid clues (how is a boulder worse than a bush when somebody is shooting at you??) and then being dead anyway. I read online this nonsense can be skipped but found no way to do it. (Choosing "normal" difficulty, my ass.) In fact, supposedly you can skip at the beginning of things. But the game gives you zero control over when you save - so you can't just skip back to the beginning of a scene. So I started the case over, after being dropped to the same point that I left in frustration after reload, and found that even at the beginning of a scene (the Wiggins stealth chase) you can't skip. Regardless of difficulty. WTH? All of this together just ruins the game - you can't save manually, can't have multiple saves (because console port??), can't skip very annoying, overly long action sequences... Yep, that adds up to a "No, thank you." from me. The interface for navigating clues is cluttered as well and the way to make deductions itself poorly explained and confusing. It took me quite a while to realize that all you can really do is combine two facts or make a few choices in the mind map. That's it. The other controls don't matter. (Again, "The Awakened" will redesign this whole mess into a clear and fun interface.) Loading screens (carriage rides) take really long even though the game is installed on an SSD and the computer newer than the game itself. This is clearly not the case in "The Awakened", so they improved on that. Some of the things you have to do make no sense. You find a pub flyer, but can't decided to go to the pub until you look at the back to know it was stuck to a wall - in spite of finding out in a letter that this flyer matters and you know about the pub already. Where's the logic here? What _glues_ this together? Another nonsensical sequence was Watson's lab work. You need to apply three colors in order to the sample - why do I have to click through that? It's just playing silly buggers. I never figured out how lockpicking is supposed to work because no matter what I did, the lock always opened... Try getting Wiggins on a carriage... the controls are basically broken. After the cutscene ended the game ignored my key strokes until I just kept repeatedly hitting the keys to get the character moving, adding unneeded suspense and failure to a buggy sequence. There was stuff I liked - eavesdropping in a pub, for example. Or chasing around as Holmes' dog Toby. (But not having to do two carriage rides to retrieve Toby.) Distracting somebody to help Holmes' break in somewhere unnoticed - also good. Safe-cracking wasn't bad, either. This game is a good-looking clunker. Stay away.
To be honest, I liked the game to a point. The last full case is wonky and the opening set-piece is just bad. But the kick in the pants here is the ending. It just tumbles out of nowhere with minimal buildup, like the dev team had intended for there to be two, maybe three more cases but really needed to push the game out for whatever reason, so they slapped together the finale which is aptly named "Fever Dream" and plays out like such but the reasoning for that is never explained. Ultimately, it is an alright game with some puzzles and deductions that require a little bit more thought than a Lego game, but the any small amount of fun from the cases and puzzles is quickly overshadowed by the finale and the disappointment. 5/10, would not recommend.
