About

Shards of Order is a dark fantasy RPG that throws out the rulebook for deckbuilding & card-based combat. There are no turns and no mana points. Every enemy acts on a visible countdown, and every card you play winds those counters down, shifting the whole flow of the fight. Time is your most valuable resource. Misjudge, and your team is sure to crumble.
Master the art of shared deckbuilding; there are three heroes, but only one set of cards. Every card you add affects the drawing odds. Will you build around one main hero and stack the deck in their favor, or spread the strength across the whole party and keep everyone in the fight?
Reality is coming apart. The ancient Laws that once held life, death, and time in place have been stolen or shattered. What’s left is a world where identity fractures and the dead refuse to stay buried. A handful of survivors set out to put it back together, one broken Law at a time. You’re their leader, and restoring Order is up to you – If you find it worth saving.
Play as three distinct characters, each with multiple playstyles, their own skill trees, and a personal arc. This is a full RPG underneath the cards: level up, customize equipment, make dialogue choices, and pass skill checks. Weapons and armor aren't just stat sticks. They define each hero's playstyle and can even inject unique cards straight into your shared deck, so every gear decision is also a deckbuilding decision. Layer the right gear across all three and your party starts working like one organism.
The time counter system is the heart of combat in Shards of Order. Each enemy shows exactly when it will act next, and each card you play pushes those moments closer or further away. You're not reacting turn by turn, but rather managing a clock for your entire party at once. One mistimed card can unravel the whole fight, so every move is a calculation. Three unique regions and a roster of handcrafted boss fights will push your time mastery to the limit.
As you scavenge a dying world, you recover the lost Laws that once governed it. But restoration comes at a cost. Each Law you bring back draws the eye of the all-seeing God a little closer. In your darkest moments, they will offer a helping hand, and you're free to take it. But be warned: they are known for their mischief…
Now, embark on this journey through ruin, where every decision leaves a scar, and every scar becomes part of your story.
There is no more Order. Only what you are strong enough to bring back.

I gotta say I really liked this Deckbuilder. Mostly for the fact that this is NOT another rougik but a rather linear experience. Few choices here and there. Characters that are cool and combat that is engaging. Can't say anything bad to be honest. It does what it says on the tin.

Nice deckbuilder, aweseome skilltree with lots of fun builds, good flair, nice story. All in all just a good game.
A really cool game, awesome art and a lot of potential. - Overall it is a good game, with a 6-10 hours of gameplay required to finish the campaign. It presents tho, a more clunky card system than other deckbuilding games, where meaningful combinations and combo are very limited. I would have expected more sinergies among cards and roles. Really interesting 3-people party system, challenging in seeing the "big picture" of the deck. Some mechanics are very clunky, but interesting. The use of time as "mana" is very cool, especially if manipulated accordingly. It offers low replayability as the story is set, and also the starting cards, so until you re-do everytime a lot of the story, it would be hard to experience something different (in terms of deck building). Fights are well balanced, and enemies presents a wide variety of effects, which makes it interesting. Overall the big flaw is the map navigation that feels slow , sometimes unclear and clunky, with limited options to diversify the story development or to speed up the game. Sometimes it takes longer to go from A to B than to actually complete a fight. In summary - great value for money, awesome art. and concept with a lot of potential. However presents low re-playability, navigation system is a bit odd and other deckbuilder games presents more synergies and combos among cards.
Not what I expect from a card game, but it was fun nonetheless. The build options are not as varied as they initially seem, for only a couple are viable. But the artstyle is great, oozing with creativity. If you like card games and like dark fantasy worlds, give the game a shot.
Awesome combat system and music. A bit short but worth the money
Normally, I do not write reviews. I'd say this is a relatively good game to make an exception for. If you enjoy Slay the Spire but also want a story, then this is a game for you. Only issues I ran into were a few dialogue bugs where it was not the correct person speaking, but with context clues you can understand it well enough.
I also did not manage to get higher than level 18, yet there is a set of level up rewards at 20? Not sure how that works, but I did 100% the game to the best of my knowledge, so I assume it's just a fake number to prevent the player from knowing the game is about to end?
I have loved the feel of the game. Kind of has a dark souls feel to it. It has a great story mixed with some fun combat mechanics. I have really enjoyed the deck battler style it brings. Just the right amount of strategy and simplicity. Really well done game in all respects. I highly recommend. Great price as well for what you get.
