It's been a while since I played this one. I played it years ago on the PS4, but I do remember loving it. It was my first exposure to the Shantae franchise, and all the wonderful characters like Shantae, Risky Boots, Rotty Topps, and the Tinkerbats (as well as many more)! This game gave me huge vibes of the Monster World games, which are some of my favorite platformer/RPG/metroidvanias ever made, so this was an instant love for me. The game world is so bright and beautiful, the art is wonderful, and the transformations and gameplay is so fun! I do personally think this is the Shantae game that I still look back on with the most love (although I do adore Pirate's Curse, and I'm moderately fond of Half-Genie Hero. I haven't played Seven Sirens yet.) A great start in the Shantae games if you haven't played any yet, but it's also fun to go back on and play. A forever classic, if I were to say.

A segunda Shantae é um bom jogo, apesar de ter coisas que me incomodam mais do que o primeiro. Não me leve a mal, muitas das mecânicas de gameplay, habilidades e até personagens foram muito melhor estabelecidos nesse jogo, e as habilidades são bem divertidas de se usar, além da mecânica de "magia" ser bem legal também. Entretanto, isso não tira o fato de que ele é muito menor do que o primeiro jogo e não tem todas as transformações que seu antecessor (Três transformações principais). O contexto em que ele foi lançado ajuda a entender isso, visto que ele foi lançado com orçamento bem mais limitado que o primeiro e para DSi originalmente, foi basicamente um jogo tentando "Salvar a Shantae" depois do cancelamento de Risky's Revolution. E felizmente funcionou. Eu achei a trilha sonora dele bem diferente do resto da franquia também, mas isso não é ruim, na verdade eu sinto que é bem interessante. A franquia nunca mais conseguiu fazer uma música como "Through the Trees" por exemplo. Os diálogos são realmente bons e a história é muito mais interessante do que a do primeiro jogo, apesar de não ter atingido o nível dos jogos modernos ainda (Destaque pro final do jogo). Eu sinto que este jogo é como uma fase de "transição" pra franquia moderna, muito mais um "prólogo" pro Pirate's Curse do que qualquer outra coisa. Mesmo assim vale a pena, ainda mais se você for fã da franquia. Recomendo, e recomendo a versão DX por ser mais moderna, ter artes em ótima qualidade, um mapa e o "Magic Mode" que aparentemente deixa o jogo mais difícil, mas com menos limitação de magia (Não posso opinar pois não joguei com ele). Enfim, ele é sim um bom jogo e merece atenção, se ele não existisse talvez nem teríamos mais Shantae hoje.
Risky's Revenge is a fun game. I decided to 100% the entire franchise on steam, starting with this one. If you are an avid metroidvania gamer like me, its pretty barebones. But that isnt always a bad thing. Sometimes you want a quick, short, and easy playthrough of a game. The bosses, until the final boss, are a joke. And even then, if you play normally the final boss is easy. If you want a challenge, speedrun the game with no hp containers in magic mode like I did. Pick it up on sale. 5-7 bucks is worth it
Pretty standard metroidvania experience, pretty short though, you can finish it in like 3 hours, controls are pretty tight, music is great and animation is top notch for a 2010 game I do have a major gripe with this game tho and it is the map structure for the overworld and the 3rd dungeon of the game, while I like the idea of switching between layers, the backtracking for this game is awful especially if you're trying for achievements since some sections can be really confusing. Overall a fun and cheap game, and if you want to skip the original Shantae for GBC, this is a pretty good introduction.

Особо не планировал играть в эти игры, думаю так это и останется! Но если вдруг окажется, что одна из них это "Скрытый гем", то обязательно дам знать!
