Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond is a free to play card game where we build decks, collect cards and fight against other players. It is the follow up to the original Shadowverse, and it keeps the basic idea of using different classes and card combinations while adding some new systems of its own. The card battles are definitely the best part. The basic rules are not too difficult to understand, but there is a lot more to think about once we start making proper decks. We have to manage our play points, decide when to use certain cards and try to build combinations that work well together. Super Evolution is the biggest new mechanic. It gives us another powerful option later in a match and can completely change how a battle plays out. There is a bit more planning involved because saving resources for a Super Evolution at the right time can be much more useful than using everything as soon as we can. There are seven different classes to choose from, and each one has its own style and cards. We can build around aggressive attacks, stronger defensive setups, spell based strategies and plenty of other ideas. This gives the deck building side a lot of room to experiment with different combinations. The presentation is also really good. The card artwork is detailed, the attacks have plenty of flashy effects and the anime style fits the game perfectly. There is also a full story with voiced characters, which gives us something to do outside of competitive matches. Shadowverse Park is another extra area where we can customise our avatar, talk to other characters and take part in different activities. The biggest problem is the free to play system. Collecting cards and building several competitive decks can take a lot of time, and the game heavily revolves around its card collection. This makes getting into the competitive side more difficult than it should be when we are trying to build a specific deck. The other issue is that there is a lot to learn. Even though the basic rules are simple, there are loads of cards, abilities and different strategies to understand. We can easily get overwhelmed when trying to keep track of everything, especially if we are coming into the game without much experience with card games. Overall, Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond has a genuinely good card game underneath all of its extra systems. The battles are strategic, Super Evolution adds something interesting and there is a lot of content outside of normal matches. The free to play card collection is a big downside and the amount of systems can be overwhelming, so it does not quite reach the level of the very best digital card games. The current Steam reception is also quite poor, which makes it harder to overlook those problems. Rating: 6.8/10

It wasn't all bad, and I still had some fun.
It just hits all the right notes. Deeply engaging, incredibly smooth to play, and leaves you with an amazing feeling overall.

Fun gameplay good visuals my only real issue is the card economy. currency income feels too low, making it harder to build new decks as a newer player... other than that, I been enjoying the game... recomended if you have so many time cuz you need it XD
I expected a little more from it.
