Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Downloaded a mod allowing me to kill people, so I erased half the population & solved one murder case by accidentally murdering the killer. It's a fun game, reallly. I love repetition so doing similar murder cases is still so fun for me.

A fantastic game. Frustrating at first due to some jankiness. The learning curve can be frustrating for a couple of hours. It clicked for me after realizing that you can always run (when 20 people pull weapons on you for going a centimeter over a boundary) and that not every case is realistically solvable. "Arrest the person with long brown hair and brown eyes and no other info." Uhhh, I'll pass on that one. That strategies you find yourself using are insane. Sneaking into people's homes while they sleep to grab handwriting samples. Printing photos off security cameras and asking every person within blocks if they recognize a perp. Tracing phone calls. Checking every person in a victim's address book. Going through the city directory and ruling out every person with a first name starting with J. It makes you feel a bit insane in the best way.
good idea bad game
A pixel-style detective simulator.
I really want to like the game, but the ergonomics are atrocious. Most of the challenge is navigating the UI, menus etc. There must be a real game somewhere beyond that, but I haven't found it.
DON'T BUY IN CURRENT STATE! I played it, fell in love with it - and then came the crashes, and they were many. I tried all tricks, troubleshooting, reinstalling, restarts, emptying caches, all of it. I don't understand why it suddenly started, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to stop that. Really sad, because it would be amazing, if it weren't that poorly optimised.
Such a shame, there is so much wasted potential left by the devs. The bugs and framerate issue have been a problem for a long time, and now with the "workshop update" they are trying to let the community fix the issues.
