Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Shadows of Doubt is set in an alternate reality in the hyper-industrialized 1980s. Think like a detective and use a variety of gadgets as a private intelligence investigator, gathering evidence and making money by solving cases, finding and selling information and more.
Play your own way in a fully simulated world with hundreds of citizens. Discover, meet and tail individual citizens, each with their own name, job, apartment and daily routine, in unique, procedurally-generated cities. Each case has different culprits, clues and experiences for you to test your investigative skills.
Explore anywhere in the city! Every nook of every trashy bar, every place of work, every seedy hotel room… This dystopia is your oyster. Break into apartments, rifle through secret documents or hack security systems - even a discarded receipt can be the key to cracking a case. Trace the receipt back to an individual location, scour CCTV footage and match the time up to the receipt to find out who it belonged to!
The entire world is fully simulated. Each citizen has an apartment, job, daily routine, favorite things to do, places to go, and people to interact with. They live out their lives independently, in a world that moves on with or without you— uncover this knowledge and use it to your advantage!

Fun game for hours until you figure out the loop; after that it will be one of those games you come back to every once in a while to binge on and off Doesn't run well, especially on larger maps. Sometimes you can go a long time without a new murder, and the side jobs don't really seem to be entertaining enough to make up for that when it happens. No current mods make up for the game's lack of serious depth at the time of writing. The game doesn't offer much incentive in terms of progression or mechanics to keep rewarding more playthroughs. $25 is steep for the game's performance. Buy it on a sale and you'll get your money's worth.

This game is still extremely buggy :( It's cool but a lot of the quest will soft lock you or things that you need just dont spawn
Dead game
Good game but poorly optimized, struggling to get 60+fps with DLSS ultra perfomance on
谁没有幻想一座虚拟的犯罪之城呢,当一个真正的侦探,一步步寻找线索,可惜后来发现大部分人其实并没有当侦探的耐心与潜力,终究还是被侦探小说给骗了
Pros: It's fun to investigate, follow clues and getting to know the citizens. Cool world setting. Cons: Call me bad but I didn't solve anything but the tutorial mission. This game is frustrating as hell. My case boards are filled with hundreds of clues but not even one that says "I MAKE SENSE. YOU FOUND ME, NOW YOU CAN SOLVE IT!" The timing how the cases appear is confusing af. I have a case to find a murderer but no starting point. After 30h+ I can say. I don't want to play anymore...

sadly still a buggy and unoptimized game that for some illogical reason does not have a basic autosave feature
