Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this game sucks ass
It's... something in the middle. I got stuck here and there, getting constant game overs for very stupid reasons, but once you get a grip and play a bit more - you get it. But you still have the chances of getting stuck and dying over and over again. Play it because it's unique, it's not at all like other Serious Sam games. Still, don't forget that the balance is completely broken and the only thing you can do is expect sudden and rapid difficulty jumps.
A weird little experiment: Serious Sam turned into a turn-based bullet-hell RPG. You still get hordes of enemies, tons of guns, and absolute chaos — just in pixel form. It’s short, silly, and not for everyone, but a fun piece of Sam history.

This game only takes you the better part of an hour.
It‘s a neat gameplay idea and they managed to squeeze a few decent jokes in, but even within just one hour it manages to get repetitive and kind of boring, if not downright annoying. It would be okay if the game would be longer and had it’s gameplay mechanics a bit more balanced and fleshed out, but the extremely short playtime kills it and 5 Euros is almost too much already. Easily the worst Serious Sam spin-off so far. Only recommended to Serious Sam fans who need to have every game in their collection. ______________________________ SERIOUS SAM THE RANDOM ENCOUNTER Genre: Arcade-Action Release: Q4 2011 ( ) 0/8 Simply one of the worst games ever made.
I got it on sale for a buck. For the price, it's alright. It's not very well balanced. I didn't really expect it to. It reminds me of those early 2000s Flash games you could play in your browser. If a game of that caliber had been on Newgrounds back then, I'm sure it would have been among the more popular ones there. I love the Serious Sam games, I think Croteam devised one of the best first-person shooter style games of all time. This game is part of the studio's effort to encourage indie devs to take a spin on their franchise. I appreciate what this small bunch of devs were able to produce in a short time. I think the formula they tried here is interesting. As others have said, it starts out alright then becomes an unfair RNG poop fest. Sometimes the music glitches out. And sometimes, the distance between your SAMs increases for some reason, making them "stuck" and you can't dodge anymore. I wouldn't mind seeing a more polished version of that game if they wanted to update it or make a sequel, i dunno. It's got at least 1 puzzle and several one-liners. The soundtrack kicks ass. This game should last you an hour or two, assuming you find a way to cheese it. For Serious fans only. Needs more AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
