About
Seablip is an ambitious pirate RPG, created by solo developer Jardar.

Seablip features an open world map containing many islands to explore, enemies to fight, and treasures to find. Plunder and sink enemy vessels on your path to become a feared pirate, and discover hidden secrets waiting to be discovered as you sail the sea.
Increasing the size and quality of your ship is a crucial part of the game, by buying a better one or by upgrading your existing one.
There are more than 48 upgrades (cannons and other special upgrades) for your ship.
Many of the upgrades offer unique attack/defense specialties: hull breach, fire, poison gas, magic shield, and more.
Experiment with combining certain effects such as water and electricity to give you the edge in battle.
Discover new combinations to maximize your offensive and defensive options, and help you survive.
Each sailor in Seablip is unique and there is a limited number, so treat them well!
When sailors level up they will earn points to spend on attributes such as Health, Luck, and intelligence.
As they progress, sailors can learn two random skills that can be used to aid them in each battle encounter.
Different battle bonuses are given depending on the faction the sailor belongs to. Pirates, Redcoats, and Bluecoats are some of the factions you’ll come across throughout the game.

Confront the scourge of the seas as you face off against seven bosses in Seablip (more coming soon), each possessing a unique tactic and ship.
While you are free to roam as you please, defeating all the bosses is the main objective in the current Early Access version.

Cast your line and reel in your catch in a robust fishing minigame, as you take a break from conquering the sea.
Discover hidden secrets and treasure, and generally get up to no good as you use your excellent lockpicking skills to great effect.
Other smaller minigames are in development, and will be worked on and improved with the help of the community!

Its not even complete yet still beter than most of the related "pirate" game. 10/8 for this little indee gem <3

fun game but quests can be hard to find when there are no markers over an area with lots of ports or areas to go.
I get the feeling the power scaling is a bit one sided and that the game is half finished. Its a ok game but not realy great
I love this game, and as you can see I have already sunk many hours into the early access version! The ship battles are super fun and I love exploring the islands and digging for treasure. Building a fortress on my home island is also fun, though any attacks on the island so far have been quite minimal, so there's not much need for intense fortification. Perhaps this will change. I haven't yet gotten into the captain duels, and honestly don't think that's something that I'd enjoy. But luckily, I can always decline the duels and continue the battle using my ship cannons! I really appreciate having that choice, so that I can play the game the way I choose. I'm greatly looking forward to the full version when it's ready! Oh an I'm just starting to have fun using a wizard in my crew. They are powerful! I'm going to experiment with having more wizards and less canons (I only have two wizards to choose from so far) and see how unstoppable I can become! Thanks to the dev for making a very fun and unique game!
I don't need a complex explanation. It's ♥♥♥♥, pure and simple. But, since you probably want the details, I'll do my best to explain. First, let's talk about ocean combat. I got a ship, and half of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time, I'm waiting for the retarded nitwit AI to do anything, and I mean anything. I have dupes of one guy because of a shop glitch, but still I feel like I have half of the crew I actually have, because the rest of them are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ braindead AIs, and yes everything is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. If you set it to do something automatically, then often it still needs you to spend time directly telling it exactly what to do, because your crew are helpless useless nitwits. Second, let's talk about the economy of this game. I walked around a second island, dug up the obvious treasure locations, fished the chests from every body of water, and some actual fish too. By the end of it, I was able to buy the biggest ship on the lot, crew it with 4 people, 5 due to the dupe glitch, and still all of that was worthless because of the damn stupid AI twiddling its thumbs. The economy is broken because it's too freaking easy. Third, there's everything in between. Controls are garbage. ♥♥♥♥, playing with actual ♥♥♥♥ literally caked on my fingers would be preferable to having menus not work because the devs lack the common sense of a trained ape, and I'm not even talking Concerned Ape which made Stardew Valley, because that bro is a pro champ. Fourth, let's talk about the story, if you can even call a brief explanation and dump of random details to be a story. Dear Lord God Almighty, give me the strength, and also the presence of the devs of Seablip, so I might smack the ♥♥♥♥♥ right off their faces. I've played tons of environmentalist stories, heck I've defended some of them, from Final Fantasy 7 to Chrono Cross, and I even made a Steam curator that defends well written politics in gaming while targeting poorly written ♥♥♥♥ projection, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ whales?! Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me?! You want me to give a ♥♥♥♥ that whalers are the bad guys? Hell ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ no! This is a pirate game, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ give me some Captain Rapes McBurnsvillages the Third, so that I might plant a mighty cannonfire right up his evil psychotic ass! Give me a heartless slave trader, an admiral gone rogue Apocalypse Now style, or a corrupt island dictatorship in desperate need of some chad hero to whoop some ass! I don't want to see another copypasta sameass bigwig rich person as a villain put forth by some commie projecting their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ one more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time! Every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ship I saw in Seablip is crewed with rich people who look like they're the friends of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 'Monopoly Guy'! I'm sick of this ♥♥♥♥! Seablip opens with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ newspaper telling you that whales are disappearing, boo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hoo. Whales are animals. Remember when that Whale Wars show had a guy actually committing terrorism and piracy against other ships?! Remember when an actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ecoterrorist from real life got a reality TV show instead of getting his ass locked up and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in prison?! Yeah, that's who you are in Seablip. Not a protector of the innocent, not even a protector of nature, but a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ecoterrorist. You even use weapons based on some of the 'nonlethal' weapons used in Whale Wars. This game tries to drive up the piracy angle, but we all know what's going on here because the devs thought it was a good idea to dump it right there in the opening like we wouldn't see through their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done. Good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ riddance. Hopefully the next game I play won't be so disappointing.
It gud.
