I never finished Scrapland, yet it is one of my favorite games of all time. Make it make sense :D I got it as a bundle with a gaming magazine a couple of decades ago, so I basically have it on-disk, and when it was re-released on Steam as a remaster I knew I had to get it! I think the overall feeling of the game (as far as I've played it) is that of an elaborate Mass Effect 1 experience on the Citadel. Imagine you can fly vehicles and go on more elaborate missions between the Wards and the Tower and whatnot, that's what Scrapland feels like. For me the up-vote is subjective, and I'm ok with it. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug :D

3/5 (5$) Dogwater story Mindnumbingly boring repetetive quests Even though I loved it as a child it has really big flaws But in contrary to something like Hogwarts Legacy... It's interesting.
Game won't run properly. Skips cutscenes and then when playing the game it will cut over to an hourglass screen that does not go away. You can still hear sound but you can't do anything and I waited several minutes to see if it would respond. I tried adjusting graphics settings CRTL ` to adjust the frame rate adjust the cfg file. nothing works. I buy a game I expect it to at least run. I assume it is trying to load or something. After trying several different things offered by the community hub none of it fixed the issue. Stay away until someone posts a fix!! An actual fix.
Works as advertised. Things are just as I remember them from about twenty years ago. (damn!) The game has its caveats and lacks modern polish but remains good by the standards of its time. The gameplay, even though decently functional and enjoyable, is nothing to write home about, but I would argue that there is more to scrapland that its mechanics. The setting is where it's at when it comes to this game. Keen observers amongst you will have noticed that American McGee was involved in the design of that game and will know that the guy is quite imaginative. So, if you are ready to forgive this game for it's age related limitations and the horrendously flat tone of the dubs, you will enjoy this 10 to 15 hours peek into the world of Chimera. To that end, the visuals hold quite well for their age. It may be a bit pricey at 20 bucks though. That's not much content for that price nowadays so I won't advice any new player to get it full price, unless you really are into setting foot on a completely different planet for a short while. If so, go ahead. Similarly, if you remember the game fondly and want to experience it again, then enjoy. You know exactly what you are getting into. The devs did quite a commendable job with this remaster.
