Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Aug 23 → 11.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Catching fish is only the beginning.
Cast your line, hunt for the perfect catch, scale it with care, serve it to hungry customers, and turn your hard-earned cash into better gear. Then go deeper. Catch stranger fish. Make more money. Upgrade again.
You know, just one more run.
Each improvement pushes you further into the depths… and further from whatever counts as normal.

Explore four distinct fishing spots inspired by real places – from Loch Ness to Outer Banks, Point Nemo, and beyond.
Each location comes with its own:
atmosphere and environment
gear
fish species
hidden paths and secrets
puzzles, treasures, and strange things waiting below
The deeper you go, the less this feels like a simple fishing job.

Your customers are not human. Some are cute. Some are mythical. Some are exactly the kind of creatures you wouldn’t expect to order dinner from a tiny robot on a boat.
Serve wild animals like otters, axolotls, and herons, alongside beings inspired by myth and folklore, including legends such as Nessie and Kelpie. Each customer has their own personality, appetite, and favorite fish.
Learn who likes what, deliver the right catch, and you might earn a very generous tip. Serve badly, and… well, they’ll have opinions.

There’s more than fish hiding underwater, and definitely more lore than anyone reasonably expects from a game about fishing.
Search the depths for:
hidden treasures and collectible artifacts
messages in bottles
secret passages
environmental puzzles and levers
Every scrap of old notes and logs brings you a little closer to understanding why this tiny robot is busy fishing in the first place.

Progress isn’t just about bigger numbers (although bigger numbers are very nice).
Upgrade your fishing gear, unlock better tools, customize your boat, and dress up your tiny robot fishmonger before sending them back into increasingly strange waters.
Improve your rods, hooks, bags and scaling tools
Unlock new boats and cosmetics
Scale tiny fish with increasingly ridiculous tools
Look good while feeding ancient beings from the deep
Because if you’re going to prepare fish for strange creatures, you might as well do it in style.

This game is genuinely one of the most entertaining games I've played in a long time. The artwork is lovely, the mechanics are satisfying, and the game itself is just so full of life. This is my first game where I've collected all of the achievements for, and I had a lot of fun doing so. For such a low price as well, I truly recommend anyone reading this to go ahead and buy it, because you wouldn't regret it. I really hope they add more levels in the future! Thank you to the developers for producing such a wonderful game! 10/10

👍👍👍👍👍👍
Scale the Depths is a game about fishing where you control a little robot fisherman and control your hook to capture various fish and serve various customers across multiple locations while purchasing upgrades to your rods and bait, thematic knives for the areas you're in, and cosmetics. I start my reviews off with the positives and I have many to list here. First of all, the gameplay itself is incredibly fun. Mentally mapping the areas and discovering which fish are where is amazing. Each customer has a list of fish they like, and dislike, so you are able to strategize getting the most optimal fish for the customer you have now and then get some for the customers coming up later. Or, of course, you could just go to the areas with the best fish and get those. Though there is always a sort of big boss fish that only spawns once per cast. Its always worth picking up but revolving your strategy around it would take a lot of time. Regardless of which strategy (or lack thereof) you choose to go for, this game is definitely fun in gameplay. Of course it's not for everyone, nothing will ever truly appeal to every single person on this planet. But that goes for everything ever. To add to the gameplay the boss fish I mentioned previously all have their own unique abilities to make them harder to catch. This is a huge boon to the game because it adds even more uniqueness to the gameplay of each area. It makes them all feel unique beyond just catching different fish and hearing different music. Now, aside from gameplay, the graphics are absolutely beautiful. You can tell whoever made the art for this game had a lot of passion. It's consistent throughout the entire game. The music in this game is also amazing, the music also changes in each area to fit where you are. So in Loch Ness, for example, you have Scottish pirate-like music. In Huatulco you have Mexican music, and so on. Finally, the sound effects, they are good. I don’t really have many comments on sound effects, I am not a sound expert. But from what I can say objectively they function as they should. Now to the negatives, of which I have one big and one small. Starting off with the big negative, this game is SHORT. There are 4 areas in which you travel, all of which have anywhere from 23 to 32 customers until the final “Legendary customer” shows up and acts as sort of the boss of the area. That makes for a very short game. While the experience of the short game is great this is definitely to note. Now,
In the ending the Handler does call you and say he is “searching for more areas”, this could be hinting towards future updates adding more areas or DLC of some sort, however considering that is not out yet I cannot write this review including any future content
. As for the less important yet still of note negative most of the puzzles in this game just boil down to a find the switch puzzle. There are some box-pushing puzzles and in the last area one somewhat convoluted puzzle (Even then the solution still ends up boiling down to searching the area for the solution). However, thats not the most pressing of all issues considering the fact you don’t even truly need to beat any of the puzzles to really beat the game. You could just save them for after you’ve beaten the game and have most of the upgrades ready to spend as long as you need on them if you wish. So I wouldn’t consider this really even that bad at the end of the day. Plus, Scale the Depths doesn’t market itself as a puzzle game anyways. They are just thrown in as a bonus. Any additional negatives would just be nitpicks. For example I encountered one single, visual-only, non-gamebreaking bug one single time that resolved itself in the second area. Boo hoo. Overall I would highly recommend Scale the Depths. For how short it is I could see waiting for a sale, but if you’ve got the money and want to play a game like this I would 100% recommend you do it. Its a short, but love-filled and very fun experience.
