Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Aug 23 → 11.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Catching fish is only the beginning.
Cast your line, hunt for the perfect catch, scale it with care, serve it to hungry customers, and turn your hard-earned cash into better gear. Then go deeper. Catch stranger fish. Make more money. Upgrade again.
You know, just one more run.
Each improvement pushes you further into the depths… and further from whatever counts as normal.

Explore four distinct fishing spots inspired by real places – from Loch Ness to Outer Banks, Point Nemo, and beyond.
Each location comes with its own:
atmosphere and environment
gear
fish species
hidden paths and secrets
puzzles, treasures, and strange things waiting below
The deeper you go, the less this feels like a simple fishing job.

Your customers are not human. Some are cute. Some are mythical. Some are exactly the kind of creatures you wouldn’t expect to order dinner from a tiny robot on a boat.
Serve wild animals like otters, axolotls, and herons, alongside beings inspired by myth and folklore, including legends such as Nessie and Kelpie. Each customer has their own personality, appetite, and favorite fish.
Learn who likes what, deliver the right catch, and you might earn a very generous tip. Serve badly, and… well, they’ll have opinions.

There’s more than fish hiding underwater, and definitely more lore than anyone reasonably expects from a game about fishing.
Search the depths for:
hidden treasures and collectible artifacts
messages in bottles
secret passages
environmental puzzles and levers
Every scrap of old notes and logs brings you a little closer to understanding why this tiny robot is busy fishing in the first place.

Progress isn’t just about bigger numbers (although bigger numbers are very nice).
Upgrade your fishing gear, unlock better tools, customize your boat, and dress up your tiny robot fishmonger before sending them back into increasingly strange waters.
Improve your rods, hooks, bags and scaling tools
Unlock new boats and cosmetics
Scale tiny fish with increasingly ridiculous tools
Look good while feeding ancient beings from the deep
Because if you’re going to prepare fish for strange creatures, you might as well do it in style.

A pretty fun little fishing game, with interesting preparation mechanics, that falls flat later in the game after a strong start. Still worth playing on sail. +++ The core gameplay is really fun. You catch fish, find items and secrets, carefully prepare the fish, and figure out what type of fish each customer wants. Then you upgrade and repeat. Each level has separate progress. ++ There's a huge amount of literary and graphical content here. Lore to read, fish and customer biographies, item descriptions, etc. Each treasure can be inspected and played with. ++ Good graphics, nice to look at. + Works well with controller for the most part. Navigating menus is awkward. +/- Unlocking all cosmetics and customers and fish and 100%ing the game takes lot of annoying grinding. The kind of grinding where you cannot turn your brain off. Not a problem for me personally, but something to be aware of if you're a completionist. +/- Some customers and fish
are actual monsters and
may be scary for young children. - The game is reasonably long. If you don't go for 100%, it might be disappointingly short, at only 4 levels to explore. It took me 8 hours, going for 100% at first, then giving up once I realised how annoying that would become, and going for… mostly completeness. Basically my own personal definition of "complete". The game hints at a secret 5th level, but this was bait at time of review, pun intended. Maybe future content or DLC? - Frame drops when preparing the fish, makes descaling the fish hard because it skips scales when the frame drops. Can be partially fixed by reducing resolution in full screen mode. Not much difference in a pixel art game anyway. - Most text is very small and hard to read, and often sways with the tide, with no option to increase font size. I was unable to read most text due to visual disability, but still able to progress by guessing the words. -- The "favourite fish" mechanic doesn't matter too much. It's far more efficient to just catch a boat load of high-value 900 point fish, than fuss over bonus multipliers on 50 value fish. You also cannot store many fish, so it's not like you can keep a shipping container of different fish types ready to play the memory minigame. The choice is either short-order fishing for a small bonus, or casting a wider net. --- The game never really mixes up it's mechanics at all. It's basically the same at minute 1 as hour 8.

I've played the demo version of Scale the Depths before the official game released, and I have to say that the official game is a must try. Even though it cost money (I think) it is worth the amount and has a variety of different fish and customers. I really like the game's style too. So I think you should give it a try.
I FISH I CATCH I SKIN I SELL VERY GOOD VERY GOOD
IT GOOD VERY GOOD
I like fishing
Good vibe, but gets repetitive Scale the Depth is super chill and definitely a fun, low-stress game to unwind with. That said, the mechanics do get repetitive after a while once you've seen what it has to offer. Still a cute, cozy experience if you just want something light and easygoing.
Im obsessed with this game and despite how many hours its "logged" I have spent a whole 12 hours deep into the night playing this. I LOVE LEVELING UP AND SCALING THE FISH!!! OOOUUUHHH THIS IS ADDICTING
I feel like this is dave the diver but worse
