Command vast armies across the surface of a star-encompassing Dyson Sphere in this next-gen RTS. Shatter the map itself with superweapons, freeze oceans to create new invasion routes, and control hundreds of units in your quest to dominate humanity's greatest megastructure.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
This is a free demo of the next-gen RTS - Sanctuary: Shattered Sun! This demo contains a few single player scenarios to give you a taste of the game. The full release will have multiplayer, an epic single player campaign, a full suite of land, air and naval units. And much more!
Sanctuary will feature a campaign, multiplayer, base building, a flow-based economy, kingpiece commander units, as well as land, sea and air combat.
Every projectile is simulated. Nukes level bases and energy shield generators hold the line against long-range artillery strikes. Sanctuary has a core focus on strategic decision-making over fast-paced micromanagement.

When conventional weapons aren't enough, deploy superweapons that literally break the map.
Watch as your enemies' bases plummet into the sun below when you destroy the structural supports of the Dyson Sphere itself, crumbling the ground from under them.

Seize control of Sanctuary's climate systems to reshape the battlefield. Watch as your enemies' fleets become trapped in ice while your armies advance across the frozen wastes.

Few players will muster the enormous resources needed to build a Titan, but even fewer will survive fighting one.

Destroy the enemy commander and you win, but be careful because if your own commander falls ... it's game over.

Scale matters: wage war across massive 40km x 40km battlefields with up to 10,000 units under your control.
Watch as physically simulated projectiles create unexpected moments of warfare - like missiles striking aircraft in mid-flight instead of their intended targets.

The year is 2758, and humanity's greatest achievement encircles the sun - Sanctuary, a Dyson Sphere housing over a trillion lives. But this marvel of engineering has become a battlefield, its gleaming cities reduced to rubble, its surfaces scarred by endless war. The dreams of paradise have given way to a brutal struggle for survival.
Choose your allegiance among three distinct factions: the pragmatic EDA, the futuristic Chosen, or the enigmatic Guard. Each brings unique strategies, technologies, and units to the fight for control of humanity's greatest creation.

Powered by cutting-edge DOTS technology, Sanctuary: Shattered Sun delivers smooth performance even in the largest battles.
Every explosion, every unit, and every tactical decision comes together in a seamless experience that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in strategy gaming. Watch thousands of units clash without your PC slowing to a crawl.

Demo is tons of fun, hoping the final product is just as good.

LOVE IT. what a wonderfun and amazing game. RTS for life
Its clearly a pre alpha, but I like it so far. When stuff is fixed, features implemented, missing units added, this might be a true successor to Supreme Commander. Performance is way better than I expected, only some effects are way too complex and kick your gpus balls. Well.. not much more to say, at the moment, there is barely any content. You have one (unfair) story mission, a tutorial and a defence mode. Well I guess I have to wait one or two years to see the end result.
looks good so far, seeing alot of similarities to supreme commander which was one of my favorit games from childhood, cant wait to see how this flower will bloom
Truly a successor to Supreme Command. Very promising so far and the new mechanics are amazing. Be sure to try out the bonus challenges past the tutorial missions!
Whew...I get that it's "alpha" but...I'm sorry, there is no reason the map should "despawn." I've never seen that before, like the entire playing field still "existed," it just wasn't visible. I had literally nothing but skybox. How? Aside from THAT little...kerfuffle...I really don't care for the user interface. It's just too noisy with "stuff" without any real substance when it comes to information. Likewise, I'm REAL concerned with the SupCom 1 style "Tier" system. Like, I know it's basically a meme that Supreme Commander 2 was "bad" and...yeah, there are things I disagree with from it, but the best thing it did was get rid of the tier system, this way my basic tank would stay viable throughout the fight. In Supreme Commander, you were just objectively wrong to still be building tanks...much less assault bots, when you had mechs available. If you don't see the issue I have with that, may I ask why it's okay to make as much as two thirds of my military basically worthless and call it a "feature?" I don't like what I'm seeing, frankly. I wish you all the best, both developers and players, but I'm confident that this game is not for me.
I've waited years for a true successor to Supreme Commander, and Sanctuary Shattered Sun is absolutely delivering. Even after only a few hours with the demo, I can confidently say this captures what made Supreme Commander special while improving it with modern visuals, gameplay, and QOL features. The scale, strategy, and overall feel are exactly what I've been waiting for. As someone with thousands of hours across the Supreme Commander series and RTS games in general, it’s incredible to finally see a game that understands what made those games incredible while pushing it behind what it was before. It's an ambitious project, but from what I've played so far, it’s absolutely worth the wait. And to think this is only the demo... Enjoyed it so much that I backed the Kickstarter myself :)
This demo was quite fun for me and offers you a LOT of gameplay for an early peek at the game. That was enough for me to go ahead and back it on kickstarter and I look forward to what the devs do here. The demo rightly is lacking in many QOL features since it is still in a pre-alpha state but what is here is really impressive. They have three full factions each with a fun feel to them and very reminiscent of the unique balance supreme commander's factions offered. I am glad to see some new blood coming into what has become a very barren subgenre of RTS, and the visual direction and stated plans for this game have me very interested. Go ahead and give the demo a try yourself, there are a bunch of special scenarios to play, the first big campaign mission (which is very impressive already) and then you can play 20-wave defense missions as any of the three factions to your liking. A very good taste of what's to come I reckon.
