Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0.25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
This game is a command-based RPG set in the Warring States period, one of the most fascinating eras in Japanese history. Enjoy various elements that capture the atmosphere of the Warring States period.

In this game, you can freely choose your protagonist from 91 daimyo houses or new warlords. Each daimyo house offers different protagonist abilities, the number and abilities of your retainers, the surrounding power dynamics, and the warlords who will join you in that region. This allows you to enjoy different story developments with each playthrough.

Numerous warlords who colored the Warring States period make an appearance. Over 300 of them!
Independent generals may join your service after defeating them in battle. Generals belonging to other factions can also potentially join you after you conquer their faction. Gather numerous talented vassals and aim for unification!

You can form units at your faction's castle. You can also assign deputy commanders to generals in your units to enhance their abilities. Combine generals with various skills and abilities to form the strongest unit!

In battle scenes, use attribute skills such as spear, cavalry, archery, and strategy, as well as powerful unique skills to overwhelm enemy units. Enemy levels become stronger the farther you are from your base. However, there are no penalties for being defeated, so keep trying (except for some event battles).

In this game, equipment can be obtained from enemy drops or certain events. Items are randomly assigned “quality” and “titles,” so enjoy treasure hunting for divine equipment!

The vast field map, based on an actual map of Japan, features enemy castles scattered across the landscape. Whether you choose to “start by defeating weaker forces to build your strength” or “take down that famous warlord first to obtain their equipment,” conquer enemy castles in any order you like and aim for national unification.

Depending on your progress in conquering enemy forces, various events—both good and bad—will occur. Overcome them all and aim for national unification!

This game implements various features for comfortable gameplay.

Samurai Heroes is a strategy-focused role-playing game that successfully blends large-scale military management with character progression and faction-based conquest. Developed and published by hizaniya games, the title transports players to a fictionalized interpretation of Japan's Sengoku era, a time defined by warfare, political ambition, and the struggle for territorial dominance. Rather than concentrating on a single protagonist's journey, the game emphasizes commanding entire factions, recruiting talented generals, expanding military power, and guiding a chosen clan toward supremacy. This broader focus creates an experience that feels both strategic and rewarding for players who enjoy long-term planning and gradual progression. One of the game's most impressive features is the sheer scope of its content. Players can choose from more than eighty-five factions and interact with hundreds of individual generals throughout their campaigns. This extensive roster immediately gives the game a sense of scale that many independent strategy titles struggle to achieve. Every faction presents unique opportunities and challenges, encouraging experimentation with different approaches to conquest. The variety available ensures that no single campaign feels identical to another, greatly enhancing replay value. The setting draws inspiration from one of the most turbulent periods in Japanese history. Rival clans compete for territory, influence, and survival in a landscape where military strength often determines success. While historical accuracy is not the primary objective, the game captures the atmosphere of constant conflict that defined the era. Ambitious leaders, shifting power balances, and ongoing battles provide a fitting backdrop for the strategic systems that drive the experience. Unlike traditional action RPGs that place players directly on the battlefield, Samurai Heroes adopts a broader perspective. Success depends on effective leadership, intelligent resource management, and careful army organization. Players must think like military commanders rather than individual warriors. Decisions regarding troop deployment, officer recruitment, and faction expansion often have lasting consequences, making strategic planning a central part of the gameplay loop. The recruitment system serves as one of the game's strongest mechanics. Generals are not merely decorative additions to an army; they function as valuable assets that influence military effectiveness. Each commander brings different strengths and abilities, encouraging players to carefully consider how their forces are assembled. Discovering powerful officers and integrating them into a growing faction creates a satisfying sense of progression that remains engaging throughout the campaign. Equipment progression introduces another layer of depth. Weapons, armor, and other items feature randomized qualities and attributes, creating a loot-driven system that rewards continued play. Players are constantly searching for stronger gear to enhance their armies and improve their chances of success. The randomized nature of equipment acquisition keeps progression exciting because valuable discoveries can occur at any stage of a campaign. This mechanic also adds replayability by ensuring that different playthroughs produce different opportunities. Customization plays a significant role in shaping the overall experience. Players are given considerable freedom when deciding how to build their military forces. Some may focus on assembling elite commanders equipped with powerful gear, while others prioritize large armies capable of overwhelming opponents through numbers alone. The flexibility provided by these options allows players to develop strategies that reflect their personal preferences rather than following a single optimal path. The progression systems are consistently rewarding. Starting with limited resources and modest military strength, players gradually expand their influence through successful campaigns and strategic decision-making. Every victory contributes to a growing sense of momentum, while new recruits and equipment provide tangible evidence of advancement. Watching a minor faction evolve into a dominant regional power is one of the game's most satisfying aspects. The game's structure encourages long-term engagement. Because there are so many factions and commanders available, players are motivated to experiment with alternative strategies and explore different paths to victory. Each campaign presents opportunities to approach familiar challenges from new perspectives, ensuring that the experience remains fresh even after multiple playthroughs. This replayability is one of the title's greatest strengths. Visually, Samurai Heroes adopts a practical approach that prioritizes functionality over spectacle. Menus, character portraits, and management screens are designed to present information clearly, which is essential given the number of systems players must oversee. While the presentation may not compete with larger-budget strategy games, it succeeds in supporting the mechanics that form the core of the experience. The interface generally remains easy to navigate, even as armies and territories grow larger. Another appealing aspect of the game is its balance between accessibility and complexity. New players can quickly grasp the fundamentals of faction management and military expansion, while experienced strategy fans will find plenty of depth beneath the surface. The various progression systems, recruitment mechanics, and equipment options create meaningful decisions without becoming unnecessarily overwhelming. The title is not entirely without flaws. The large number of available systems can occasionally feel intimidating, particularly during the early stages when players are still learning how everything interacts. Some users may also wish for stronger narrative elements, as the emphasis remains focused primarily on strategic progression rather than character-driven storytelling. Additionally, those seeking visually elaborate battles may find the presentation somewhat modest compared to major strategy franchises. Despite these shortcomings, Samurai Heroes succeeds because it consistently rewards investment and experimentation. Every campaign offers opportunities to discover new generals, acquire rare equipment, and build increasingly powerful factions. The combination of strategic management and RPG progression creates a gameplay loop that remains compelling long after the opening hours. Samurai Heroes stands out as a surprisingly ambitious strategy RPG that successfully combines faction warfare, character collection, equipment progression, and military conquest. Its enormous roster of clans and commanders, flexible customization systems, and rewarding sense of growth make it an excellent choice for players who enjoy strategic planning and long-term progression. While its complexity may require patience from newcomers, those willing to learn its systems will find a rich and highly replayable experience inspired by one of history's most fascinating periods of conflict.
Really want to like this game but it has crashed 3 different times at the end of random battles. I imagine it is some loot item which causes it. Lost too much progress too many times to continue further. Game does not auto save either so that sucks.
