Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A 2000s retro-style psychological survival horror about a father fighting through shifting nightmares to reach the family he lost.
You were busy... your stories, your career, they were everything. The calls could wait. You promised you'd be home. Now you're here for them. Your wife and your daughter. But is it too late?
Built to feel like the early 2000s. You'll need to keep pushing, down through the apartments, into the weeping sewers, and into places you didn't know you remembered.
But the walls don't stay still. They shift. They bleed into something else.

Pipes. Bats. Knives. Cleavers. Axes. Anything you can find. And yes...
Firearms exist. Pistols and guns. But they're fragile hope, and every bullet is a choice you must make to survive.

Keys, healing items, tools, and puzzle pieces... all take space in your limited inventory. You’ll be managing what little you have, making uncomfortable choices, and trusting your gut when you decide what stays in your pockets.

The puzzles won’t make sense to your troubled mind. Not at first. Clues and logic from a half-remembered dream. They seem simple at first glance, but unsettling once they click.

The only thing holding your walls together. And some things... some are heavier.
The monsters feel personal, as if they were born from sleepless nights and broken promises that you tried to ignore.
Beings that don’t want you to see what’s waiting at the bottom.

A strange, sad journey. We hope it stays with you.
Inspired by the haunting look of the PS2 and early Xbox 360 era, when horror felt heavier, louder in the quiet, and closer to the skin.
If this kind of horror speaks to you, we’d be grateful if you wishlisted the game. It truly helps.

I thought maybe I was finally broken - none of the horror games I played in Spooptober really got me scared. Then I played Saint of Chains this week, and good lord, so many screams. I may have cursed the dev, the world, and life a few times as my soul left my body. Story-wise, this game is... wild. Our MC is for sure dealing with the consequences of his own hubris, and it had some good twists that kept me guessing near the end. In terms of the gameplay itself, I died multiple times, especially in the boss battles, but it never got to the point that I was uber frustrated. Mostly just had to figure out the pattern, and do it a few times to get it down, though man, I'd have killed for a dodge button! And maybe like twice as much ammo (LOL) because for sure, you will need to balance stopping power with saving it for the big bosses. I absolutely loved the museum-like display at the end that explained the various metaphors for the enemies - as someone who struggles with those, it was super helpful! As for flaws, there were one or two places where the game lagged slightly while I was streaming, but it wasn't hideous. There is one bit of plot that isn't clearly explained, namely ||how Ethan got possessed in the first place... was it the Cult or just his grief?||. The idea of the evil Cult may be a common thing in horror games, but I do feel this one did a new spin on it, and really, it's a trope because it works and is believable. Highly recommend and look forward to seeing the dev's future games!

Saints of Chains was a really memorable horror experience for me. I played the demo during Next Fest, so I already had an idea of what to expect, but the full game still exceeded my expectations. It feels like a love letter to old-school cult horror, especially if you’re into Silent Hill or Cry of Fear. It wears those inspirations proudly, and I loved that. I also had the developers tune in while I was streaming, sharing insight, teasing secrets, and cheering me on during boss fights. That made the experience feel even more special and honestly kind of surreal. The atmosphere is easily one of the game’s strongest parts. The apartment, sewers, office building, and other areas all had that grimy, unsettling feel I love in psychological horror. The cheesy dialogue also gave it that nostalgic old horror charm. I also really liked the Mind Map mode you unlock after finishing the game. It adds a lot of context to the characters, story, and monsters, and I honestly think more psychological horror games should have something like it. My only real complaint is the map. I wish it had labels or descriptions instead of just being a blank layout with lines. Other than that, this is a very solid horror game with a lot of heart. If you’re a fan of Silent Hill, Cry of Fear, or classic psychological horror, I highly recommend Saints of Chains. Full Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfhF_qd1vAE&t=17428s
Your tiktok account got you at least one purchase, great job
not bad, def lacks its own personality but still a decent playthrough regardless. monster design 10/10 though, combat feels like a more polished cry of fear, level deign is a little straight forward but does have that retro horror title feel. could benefit from a less "in your face" story, also more benefit/risk for exploring all areas of the map. feels a little barren.
gud game
An entertaining little psychological horror game, but definitely not survival horror. The game is mostly linear, and you don't really have to worry about your resources. The first boss is a total joke. You just shoot up your pistol ammo and that's it .. done. The second boss is definitely the best, and while the final boss is a real pain in the ass, I've been through worse.
I really loved this game. The combat is really fun, especially after the update. The level design is beautiful, the enemies are scary and well placed in the game. The lore is spaghetti horror, great fit. The game shines in its simplicity. I enjoyed every bit of it and highly recommend it. As a side note, I had played some horror games before, but always been scared to commit to the genre. But seeing this game I thought "man I better get braver cause I really wanna play it". And it worked out super nice! It actually got me deep in the genre. It's a game that's dear to me now and it's gonna stick with me in fond memory! Thanks, devs!
Great small horror game that is very inspired by silent hill 2 and other classic horror games. Oddly cozy when you get rid of the enemies in an area and start exploring the surroundings, also runs great on steam deck.
Overall reminds me of afraid of monsters dc more than cry of fear. short but fun game anyways, very good/10
10/10 ambience, tons of scares, and runs very smoothly (didn't even find any bugs and i normally come across one or two). highly suggest checking it out if you're a fan of survival horror at all.
