Reviews
I came for the gunfights. I stayed for the atmosphere. I left a different person. The Zone never lets you go.
As a prequel, the story is good, and the writing is phenomenal. However: Clear Sky does not have enough unique assets or mechanics to justify being its own game. It uses all the same weapons, combat /exploration features, and maps as Shadow of Chernobyl, with the exception of some gear that is unique to a newly introduced faction and 1-2 new minor maps in the very end of the game. For plot sensitive reasons I can't get into, you revisit pretty much all of the old stomping grounds of the first game and play it in all the same ways. The only real difference is that a robust form of fast traveling is introduced, which is nice for quality of life, and a Statistics tab is added to your PDA so that you can view the analytics of different factions warring with each other, which is especially neat if you decide to join one. Transactional gunsmithing and armor upgrading is also introduced, but for weapons this feature is pointless because it doesn't improve them enough to justify taking the time to do quests and get money. If you plan on playing the main questline at a normal speed or above (side quests are virtually pointless except 2-3 shared with Freedom and Duty), you're going to get new weapons so fast that you won't be able to keep up with your changing inventory if you have any kind of attachment to the guns you own. Plus, you can only really kill the endgame enemies with their own weapons, so upgrading is also pointless in that regard. As a game, Clear Sky very frustrating and underdeveloped. Being robust is fine, but there are some over-corrections I noticed present that take it from "rough-around-the-edges" to "dogwater." I'll explain: Being that I played Shadow of Chernobyl on Stalker difficulty, I wanted to play Clear Sky on veteran difficulty, and despite the game being what it is, I managed to complete Veteran mode in half the time I spent on the first title. This is where the problems really start. You essentially get one-tapped by even low level enemies in the game, and even when you get the best armor money can buy (short of an exo-suit) you still get one tapped as a rule, not the exception. Virtually all the guns in the game quickly become pointless to use except for the most powerful Snipers, Assault Rifles, grenade launchers, and 7.62 machine gun. Not even the Chaser, which is a pretty powerful semi-automatic pump action shotgun which I upgraded to the max (silly me), was useful for efficiently killing Monolith at the end. I could unload an entire tube of armor piercing rounds into the military or Monolith, and they would still barely flinch and keep gunning me to death. Enemies on Veteran difficulty have the plot armor of Superman, the Punisher, and Batman combined. They are absolute bullet sponges. I don't even want to know how much they could soak up on Master difficulty. There is a little fun to be had in dissecting a battle field like a puzzle so you can scope out a safe attack approach for yourself, utilizing sneak and peeking mechanics, but it's quickly washed away by every enemy having god aim, being able to hip shoot you in the head from across the map, and lobbing grenades on your exact position BY HAND, even if they're hundreds of meters from you and can't see you. You would think that getting access to grenades yourself would help even the playing field. Nope. There's no parabolic trajectory. They do not explode on contact. And enemies immediately scatter when the game logs that you're pulling back a grenade. I have hit maybe 4-6 guys with grenades after carefully timing the throws and visualizing the parabolas they make in my head. On the other hand, I've been blown to the high heavens by dozens of grenades thrown by enemies that the devs lazily programmed with omniscience and Herculean strength. Shadow of Chernobyl did not have this problem. Honestly, seeing myself rag-doll that many times was kinda funny after a certain point. In short, the superhuman qualities that the devs give enemies is what I refer to as over-corrections. It's the oppostie of immersive. Save yourself the time. Even if you love Stalker, don't buy this game. It feels like a cash grab more than anything else, even for an older title. Watch a video essay about it on YouTube to get the plot. It's not worth it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I want to finish the whole series; I’m not going to spend as much time on the older ones as I did on the second game—though I did finish that one, too, even with the worst ending—but I don't feel like doing anything more than the bare minimum.
''Marked one, what the hell????''
I'm genuinely surprised this is considered "the bad game" in the series. I had more fun with it than SoC and CoP.
Screw this game, forget Enhanced the game it needs an over haul. guns that dont shoot where you point them and shot gun shots that 50/50 hit the target or miss him entirly and im talking about point blank rang! and idiots that are like oh we have no fighting skills now lets go and attack everything in the swamp at once! AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG
