Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is the culmination of taking all the worst aspects of modern gaming and putting it all in a $20 package. I don't care how mean that sounds I am beyond disappointed. This game has been nothing but an Ai slop filled micro transaction train wreck since the beta. It's clear to me that Garry has no fundamental understanding on why people enjoyed Gary's Mod in the first place. They had all the opportunity in the world to course correct but all they did was double down on this weird multi platform game thing. This is somehow even worse than Roblox and that's a hard thing to surpass in bad quality. Not to mention that this game is barely even Source 2 at this point because they gutted it so much. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THIS CLOUD BS BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THING HERE IS ON THE DAMN CLOUD JUST LET ME DOWNLOAD MAPS AND ADDONS I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR SLOW ♥♥♥♥♥♥ BROWSER. TRYING TO FIND ANYTHING ON THERE IS A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MESS. I once again apologize for how mean I sound here. It's just Gary's Mod was a huge part of both my child and teen years and got me into mapping in the Source Engine. I was just hopping that there would be another one for the next generation of mappers and modders to mess around in and create amazing things. But greed got the better of this project and now its nothing but a cashgrab.

The developers has somehow managed to release more cosmetics than actual sandbox updates.
While great in concept, the game backfired spectacularly. It's all slop as far as the eye can see. Maybe the situation will get better over time but for now as a player it's dead in the water. As a dev, it's an amazing opportunity to make something great with these new tools, though.

It's a very fun and promising platform. Yes, it still needs a lot of work, but I think they are on the right track to create something great. S&box is basically Roblox, GMod and a game engine merged into one platform. There are already very cool games available and some cool projects in development that can be played. Yes, there are also many slop games, but I think the more good games are released, the more the bad games will vanish into insignificance. Some additional info to show how cool this platform is: [*] There is a Play Fund by Facepunch. When you make games and people play them, they give you money. Yes, it's real. You can read more about it here. [*] You can make games with s&box and release them as a standalone game on Steam without licensing fees.
I had extremely low expectations from this game, and somehow those expectations were not met.
I don't think I've seen a game or platform this truly repulsive from an otherwise respected developer right out of the gate. As a development platform, it's a joke compared to industry standards, and as a game, it's a joke when compared to even it's own begrudging predecessor gmod, let alone that and roblox. I genuinely don't understand what future the devs at facepunch see with the platform at this point, five years or so spent making something that feels 10% complete months after launch with no player growth, this is like the polar opposite trajectory gmod went through when it was new, and people still talk like a few updates are going to solve everything. Don't waste your 20 bucks, if you wanted roblox, play roblox, if you wanted gmod, play gmod. this caters to neither group and actively alienates everyone else. What a disappointment, I'd refund it if I could, but I can't now because I foolishly gave the benefit of the doubt and waited for it to improve past the 30 day limit, don't make my mistake.
This full release of a "game" had placeholder faces.
Used for creating games, but somehow made source 2 perform worse than the ue5 slop engine.
