Reviews
This is one of the worst games Ive everplayed, the entire gameplay is mashing m1 and the camera, code, level design, and animation work is massively incompetent
Great potential. Mediocre execution. Poor support. Sadly this never lived up to its potential. I wonder if these game devs realize its the WORLD we love and the characters that exist in the story are who we really like but we don't want to play AS them. We want to play and exist WITH them. Character creation, customization, OCs. THIS is what we want. If this had that it would have been phenomenal but was just, meh.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm reviewing this as of today. Oct 4th. 2023. This game was a 7.5 out of 10 when I played it. It was carried by my hype for American anime. This series was the end all, the beat all, for all anime. All anime for ol Japan would become bankrupt....... JESUS CHRIST I'M SO GLAD I WAS WRONG!!! I've not seen anything past season 5 and I'm happy. As for this game, it's a 4 out of ten. Yet another ♥♥♥♥ title from WB. (Warner Bros.) Incomplete. Abandoned. Don't buy.
you die way too easily in this game on top of it being a bad hack n slash
Fun time killer.
RWBY可没有什么好游戏可以玩,这个算是差的里面挑好的;了
I REALLY wanted to like this game because to tell you the truth, I actually use to be really into RWBY at one point. It’s a really fun show with great characters, music, action and is just one of those things I think has a lot of good to it. So when I saw that there was an actual RWBY game back in the day which was actually made by Roster Teath themselves, had all of the voice actors from the show voice in it AND was a co op hack and slash I HAD to give this a try… And I had really mixed feelings of it and playing this game again recently only reminded me why I feel out of it originally. And most of my issues come down to the actual gameplay. You got a basic three hit light attack combo, a heavy attack, ranged attack, counter attacks and… that’s it. Oh but you can level up each character and new skills for them… And it’s only for there ranged attacks, ultimates, team attacks and general skills. No new moves or anything. The combos you start with is all you get and outside of the speed and some animation changes it’s the same core combat across all four of the girls with the only thing that’s different between them of note is there ultimates and ranged attacks. The DLC characters DO have more unique skill tress but it still doesn’t fix my main issue with the gameplay. I mean come on, this is RWBY we are talking about! A show that has some intense action to it and characters who pull off some of the most insane attacks and physics defying ♥♥♥♥ ever, yet all we get is really basic attacks. I’m not expecting it to be Devil May Cry or Bayonetta levels of gameplay but I do at least expect a little more than this. Although now that I think about, a RWBY game with Devil May Cry or Bayonetta or styled gameplay would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Because this feels to basic to me which normally I don’t mind basic gameplay but even in games like Hyrule Warriors or the LEGO games there’s still WAY more going on in what your doing in the levels themselves but in this game the most variety it has, if we can even call it that, is just defending an objective agents waves or Grimm or finding collectables for more EXP. But that’s not even the worst of it because if you dare make the mistake of playing this game by yourself in single player you are going to learn quickly that this game is NOT designed around single player at all. Not only does pausing the game in single player mode NOT actually pause the action around you and just brings up the menu which is already an unbearable decision anyway because what if someone’s calling me or I need to go to the bathroom but the enemies in just the FIRST LEVEL alone on NORMAL DIFFICUTLY can kill you in only a few hits! I’m not even kidding when I say the enemies early on feel like the kind of ones you’d face towards the end of the game, not right at the start when you likely would be starting out with no skills. And yeah, this is intended as a co op game, I get that, but even in games like Borderlands which are also intended to be played in Co Op it’s still balances itself around if you’re playing by yourself with lower enemy counts and you know, ACTUALLY LETTING YOU PAUSE THE ACTION! Pair this with the aforementioned combat and gameplay which get old really quickly and it feels more like a game that’s still in beta. Yeah, despite my love for the show I’m not the biggest fan of this game. From the disappointing gameplay to how it almost feels like it punishes you for not having friends to play with. There is a chance playing this with friends is a lot better and when I did play this with other people a few years ago I did still have some fun with it but considering you can get other co op games on Steam like the aforementioned Borderlands, Left 4 Dead, Payday, Dead Island, Dying Light and a bunch of others which have way more going on in them, have a lot more polish to them and are a lot more single player friendly even you’re a die hard RWBY Fan I still wouldn’t recommend this.
If you love watching RWBY you'll love playing this! It's fun for both single and multiplayer depending on your style. <3
its good and all... but honestly, this is a wasted potential. Nothing has changed about the game.
