Yeah it's fun for me.
RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is not particularly polished or fun as a Hack-and-Slash, the story isn't that interesting and the graphics are low quality but knowing that this originally was an indie fan work officially supported by show creators gives it a bit of slack. If you're a RWBY fan, you will have a fun time for a run or two but otherwise it is repetitive and hollow. This game's fan base is dead unless you can pressure your friends into buying and playing it with you. Horde and Gauntlet (multiplayer modes) are mostly unplayable as a result, which by proxy makes collecting all of the achievements impossible. Not to mention they require that you at least purchase the DLC for JNPR, which I thought gave the game a little bit extra replay value but it should have been added by default. It does make for a good casual experience though, you can get through the campaign without much thought and I appreciate that the game is built in a way that you can always play multiplayer without fear of the servers getting shut down (P2P multiplayer). Bad news with that is every instance you play of the game is always considered "live" and pausing does not actually stop the game even in solo campaign, you can die while paused. Play it if you want to, just get it on sale if you do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Before I even write anything, let it be said first that if you do plan on buying this to be careful. Given the whole situation with Rooster Teeth's ownership moving around I have no idea who is getting the money for any of these purchases. So if you are concerned with where your money goes, definitely hold off on this. RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is... not a very good game. The levels are barren and simple. The fighting is also barren and simple- just a few combos with small variations between characters with the same goal of dealing damage. The story is not very good and very short (10 total missions with little substance in them). The extra modes are also not very good. The leveling system for characters is pretty bad. Overall, just kind of a mediocre experience. Despite that though, as a fan of RWBY back when it was airing in the good ol' days, there is a bit of charm to this. Sure the voice acting is bad, but it's the same VAs from those early seasons clearly trying their best (And that other guy is here too, which I would love to figure out how to mod him out iykyk). The story isn't good but it at least feels similar to some early season episodes. The combat could never live up to the show but it definitely feels like it tries. And I have to at least give it a smidge of credit for trying, especially for when this came out. Also, playing with your friends is kind of fun. The leveling system is really frustrating and I can imagine it being very bad on games with more than 2 people, but it can also be funny when you bully your friends out of leveling up. I also really don't like that at least 6 achievements are locked behind a $5 dlc that 4 total people need to buy, but that's not really something that can be fixed right now I guess. Really this can just be an excuse to get some friends together for like 2 hours to mess around with, even if it's not the best thing you could be doing with your time. So no, I wouldn't recommend this to your average joe. There are much, much better beat em' ups on the market right now. But, if you have a younger sibling that just learned about RWBY for the first time? This might be a cute thing to do together with them to show them a little piece of history.
As a long time RWBY fan. The best way to experience this game is with friends. I do wish this game had more put into it and or we got a sort of sequel that did better but if you've seen the current state of Rooster Teeth and RWBY then that better game won't ever happen. For me, i use an Xbox controller and i main Yang. I did play with 2 friends, them being Ruby and Blake mains. It was more fun than doing it solo.
Pretty fun lol I liked it measure your expectations you can beat the campaign in like 2 hours but it was fun
这游戏充其量也就一手机游戏的水准,动作系统极其敷衍,游戏性几乎没有,用蜗牛般的升级速度强行拖延玩家的游戏时长,以此掩盖内容上的匮乏,真心劝各位RWBY粉们不要购买
Can we get a real RWBY game that isn't dookie please? This game was a great small project, and I thought this would be a good gateway to RWBY games that would come after, but they are only getting worse over time. We need another hack and slash like this, but that's actually well made. It would do SO GOOD. ROOSTERTEETH, NOBODY WANTS MOBILE GAMES AND NOBODY WANTED ARROWFELL. This game is almost good, it just needed some polish.
juegazo pd: un fan de rwby siempre habla mal de rwby
Fun little casual game for blossoming RWBY fans, or those who have cash to burn or time to kill. It could certainly be a lot better, but considering what the team was like when the game was first made, it's actually not too bad. Would love to see a proper sequel, with more levels and characters and such; But until then, this is a fun game to kill time with friends on.
原价购入,就冲官方准备出第九季支持。 I like this, but Rooster Teeth Games do not understand what is we want“RWBY''world,
