Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 22 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Rusty's Retirement is an idle-farming simulator designed to sit at the bottom of your screen allowing you to work on other tasks while caring for your farm!
Grow crops:
Plant crops and watch Rusty get to work as he waters, nurtures, and harvests. Unlock new crops as you progress, from crispy carrots to ripe tomatoes.
Produce biofuel:
Use crops to produce clean and energy-efficient biofuel, a vital robot power source. Sell biofuel to other machine inhabitants and reinvest the money into expanding your farm.
Automate with robots:
Deploy a team of cute little robots to assist with planting, watering, and harvesting. Customize and upgrade your helper bots to increase efficiency.

Multitasking:
Rusty's Retirement is built to sit comfortably at the bottom of your screen allowing you to do other tasks while caring for your farm. Zoom in or out for a less distracting view, or alternatively turn on 'Focus Mode' which slows down crop production.
Vertical mode:
You can also create a new vertical farm that sits comfortably at the side of your screen.
Twitch Integration available:
Streamers and viewers can build a farm together. Viewers can control what task their robot should focus on through chat commands like !plant !water !harvest.

You will need to play with these settings to suit your rig. Bear in mind that if you have scaling enabled in your DE (i have KDE set to 1.25x) you will need to amend the numbers accordingly as wine does not take into account any desktop scaling in wayland.

Great little game. Better than so many $70 dollar AAA titles. Real passion, real simple, real cheap. Sits on the bottom of your screen while you waste your time watching YouTube or if you can pull it off while you work. Of note, if you play two games at once on steam it will disable achievements. Idle farming with soul and a solo developer. Support this supreme goodness. Cheaper than a cheeseburger but with more flavor. Out gents!
Очень советую, супер крутой айдлер для расслабления(или для одновременного просмотра видео). Правда самого геймплея мало, но если вы любите наслаждаться процессом и потом любоваться результатами - берите и кайфуйте
It's fine! Would take a star off a star review because: - It doesn't really feel like an idle game to me since it doesn't progress at all when you're not playing - I found some of the building's residents actively unhelpful - The last couple of days of achievement grinding were a drag (the fossils take so long to collect and you can't speed it up even if you have millions of the other currencies) But still, I generally had a good time playing!
IGNORE
This is a very fun idler. I enjoy the pace and options available for unique playthroughs. I also enjoy that I can play it vertically as well.
The music is calming, Rusty is adorable, and I love checking back in once in a while and seeing what everyone's up to! I haven't gotten very far yet but I'm excited to see what's available to explore :)
I am on the early stages on the game, sure at the start its boring, basically a waiting game, but thats the game, taking it nice and slow, after you get a bunch of robots and houses, it really adds to the game.
Rusty's Retirement has become my favorite productivity companion — I keep it running at the bottom of my screen during work calls and it scratches that optimization itch without demanding my full attention. There's something deeply satisfying about glancing down between tasks to see my little robots hustling around the farm, and the pixel art is genuinely charming. Fair warning: the early game requires more babysitting than a true idle game since you're manually replanting seeds until Splunk comes along, and the late game does slow to a crawl once you've unlocked everything. But for the price, the sheer coziness of watching a retired robot build an agricultural empire in the corner of your screen is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a low-pressure desktop companion that rewards occasional check-ins over frantic grinding.
