Rustled Pete is a very unforgiving boss fighting game. There is only one boss in the game and his name is Pete The Rustled. He has 4 forms, each one is harder than the other. Good luck!

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Quick Score: 5/5 Really fun game especially for 99c. My only complaint is that there isn't a bit more. Wish there was maybe a boss rush mode that had you go through all 4 phases in a row, or maybe just another slightly more difficult form.
What you see is what you get. Why is Pete so rustled? What did the chicken do to him? Who knows, who cares, that's not the point. Grab dat egg Yoshi-style and smash Pete's lights out like it's 1066. It's not as hard as it seems, either. As in, yeah, sure, you die in one hit and Pete takes a lot of punishment to beat, but ultimately it's the good ol' pattern recognition marathon. Observe, learn, execute, execute many times in a row without fail. There are in fact four forms, each of them a separate boss; so luckily Pete won't pull an Elden Ring DLC boss on you and suddenly whip out a totally new moveset mid-fight. That's for the other forms. And the other forms generally don't recycle moves, and if they do, they do it with a twist. The controls feel good (just make sure to remap the restart button if you play on a controller, I once restarted an almost-won fight on accident), the music slaps even if there's only one track, everything is juicy and satisfying. And the game rewards careful play. Yeah, it's good stuff. My curator which has games that are generally different from this
A $1 boss rush game that is FAR too high quality for the price (seriously this is worth $5 minimum wtf are you doing lemon). It does have one big problem though — the egg physics are too fun, you WILL struggle to focus on fighting pete and instead ping pong the egg around for 20 minutes straight before your ADHD will let you play the game.
This game sure did Rustle my Pete's
Rustled Pete is the definition of short n’ sweet. Fight four bosses in a 2D single-room platformer. To damage the boss, you can throw your egg at them. The egg bounces off when it hits the boss. If it falls on the ground, it breaks. Catching the egg allows you to rack up combos, which increase the damage you deal. It’s a simple mechanic, but it really shines when you’re juggling dodging the fast-paced boss attacks while ensuring your egg doesn’t crack. You can also activate environmental traps to stun the boss, once in a while, which adds to the chaos. Everything about Rustled Pete makes me happy. The instant quick restart. The decoration being destroyed when the boss slams into the wall. The satisfaction of juggling your egg around, killing bosses super quickly when your gameplay is on point. Listen: I didn’t even realize the game had a dash. It’s not even needed here. The game is perfectly beatable—and fun—without it. It’s a testament to the game’s flexibility in its simplicity. And I'm tempted to say I would've wanted to be able to throw the egg up and down as well, but I'm not sure I actually do. Rustled Pete isn’t here to revolutionize. There are no unlockables, no different egg types, no extra content (actually, the dev teased a boss editor coming at some point in the future!). It’s here to give us a few hours of fun, somewhat challenging, gameplay. And to remind us to have fun. And at THAT price!?
I paid less than a dollar for this and it's stupid fun. Hands down one of the best boss rush games I've ever played.
The amount of times I perished is incomprehensible. 10? 100? 1000? 1,000,000,000,000???? AHAH, no. The sheer quantity is beyond what you'd ever guess. If you like a challenge then this is the game for you. If not, what are you doing here.
After playing a bunch of fighting games, shooter games, music games, and intense platformers like Super Meat Boy on my other consoles, I really just wanted something to just get my reaction time and get me motivated and I saw this game 4 months ago, didn't get it since I was looking for something else Big Boy Boxing (didn't check the price) I checked again today and saw it was only 3 dollars, not much to risk so I got it, this was one of my best decisions on Steam yet, the combo system isn't too repetitive like other games with combos, first level is very fun, not too hard and once you get the pattern down, it can be beat consistently, all of the 1 hand levels aren't too bad, the 2nd one is fun but one of the hardest bosses I've ever fought, 3rd one is VERY challenging and fun, 2 hands, it feels like they were inspired by Master Hand and Crazy Hand from Smash Brothers, I literally just got to this fight and I haven't beaten it yet, I like that for most of these fights, the pattern is random enough so you can't just win every time, again, the combo system makes this game in my opinion, even without the juggling mechanic, hitting him 5 times to get a tool that stuns can be very valuable (especially when you already juggled the egg for a good while) the perfect mechanic (throwing the egg at the right time to get 2x damage) is good too and very satisfying, seeing the egg just ricochet around the room is so cool and when it hits, you can feel the intensity with that hit, I will say that if you juggle the egg for about 10 times, it becomes a little easy but good luck not choking and dropping the egg on accident, then you're back on square one. I also like that the game starts praising you for getting better in the stats menu, it just feels like the dev wants you to take out the monster that he created, I also enjoyed the humor, it's just very random like Pete's different attacks and the 2nd level's name and the death animation, reminds me of Cuphead in a way since it too was also about bosses but this feels like no matter how much you play, you still won't be getting any free wins off of studying, not that it's impossible, but in a way that it keeps things fresh without making it too random (I'm looking at you Enchanted Portals) you just have to be making last minute decisions at all times and I like that it never gets repetitive. I also like the way that the eggs only break when they touch the floor giving you more chances to nail Pete with a big hit. Super cool game and in a way, felt like something from the past (not like some of the bad soulless games that are a normality today, just more modernized) like Cuphead and Hollow Knight and even some Metroid games in a way. I would love to see another game like this or some DLC for some extra playable characters or a new Pete variant (Or a version where you work with Pete to beat something else, it could be cool to see Pete be the tools system for a level or 2). My only gripe is that sometimes, the physics can screw you by accident like getting caught behind Pete's revolver move in lvl 3 but that's not too much of an issue. I can say that this is one of my favorites already and can't wait to beat it and play it to death. It just feels like the devs just wanted to make a fun experience for players like themselves and not just a soulless cash grab like other games. Felt like a modern Wario Land/Pizza Tower type boss rush game with the egg throwing and constant platforming. Crazy fun and hopefully, something similar can come out soon.
Pete rustled me 909 times.
