Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

“In Russia there are no roads – only areas.”
Russian Roads, developed by Laush Dmitriy Sergeevich and published by Laush Studio, is an offbeat indie driving game that captures the rough, unpredictable, and distinctly local flavor of off-roading through rural Russia. It’s a title that forgoes polish and spectacle in favor of gritty authenticity, placing players behind the wheel of rugged vehicles designed to endure terrain rather than dominate it. The game’s concept is simple yet effective—you take on the role of a driver navigating muddy tracks, steep hills, and broken countryside paths, all while managing the physics and temperament of your vehicle. Russian Roads is less about speed and more about endurance, patience, and learning how to adapt to terrain that seems actively determined to make you fail. It’s not a conventional racing game but an ode to the art of perseverance on the worst roads imaginable. From the moment the first level begins, it’s clear that Russian Roads leans heavily into its atmosphere of realism—albeit a rough-edged version of it. The environment is sparse but evocative: dirt tracks wind through empty fields, forests, and rustic villages, with the occasional puddle, slope, or obstacle waiting to turn a simple drive into a disaster. The muddy surfaces are central to the experience, affecting traction and forcing you to think carefully about acceleration and steering. Vehicles handle like weighty, stubborn machines, and the game’s physics emphasize momentum and gravity in a way that often feels unpredictable. Sometimes, you’ll hit a bump that sends your truck lurching sideways or find yourself bogged down in the mud, struggling to regain control. Whether this unpredictability is intentional or a product of rough coding is debatable, but it undeniably creates a sense of tension that keeps every run uncertain and engaging. The experience captures the feeling of driving on real backroads—unforgiving, chaotic, and occasionally absurd. The game offers a handful of vehicles to unlock, all modeled after familiar Russian cars and trucks. Each has its own quirks, with subtle differences in handling, power, and traction. Earning enough in-game currency through successful runs allows you to purchase upgrades, improve performance, and customize your vehicle’s appearance. The progression system is simple but satisfying, rewarding perseverance with tangible improvements that make difficult sections more manageable. Early on, it feels like your car is barely capable of climbing a mild incline, but after a few upgrades, that same hill becomes conquerable. This incremental progress mirrors the spirit of the game itself—a slow but steady grind toward mastery. There isn’t much in the way of customization beyond basic upgrades and cosmetic tweaks, yet the system succeeds in providing a sense of forward momentum that keeps players invested through repeated failures. Visually, Russian Roads won’t impress anyone expecting modern graphical fidelity, but it succeeds in establishing a gritty, believable tone. The landscapes are rendered in muted earthy tones, the skies often overcast, and the textures unpolished but functional. The lack of visual variety could be seen as a flaw—many tracks look similar—but it also contributes to the game’s sense of monotony and challenge. It evokes the endless sprawl of rural Russia, where one muddy road blurs into another, and progress feels both literal and metaphorical. The vehicles themselves are blocky but serviceable, and there’s a nostalgic charm in their simplicity. The audio design follows the same minimalist approach. Engine sounds rumble with an uneven growl, tires squelch through mud, and the absence of music emphasizes the isolation of your journey. The overall atmosphere, while plain, captures something essential about the experience it’s trying to convey—harsh, lonely, and determinedly unglamorous. The gameplay itself is where Russian Roads both shines and stumbles. On one hand, the difficulty and unpredictability make success feel genuinely earned. Learning how to control your vehicle through the mud, adjusting speed and steering to maintain traction, and finally reaching the finish line after multiple failed attempts can be deeply satisfying. On the other hand, the physics system can be erratic, and the controls lack precision. Steering feels sluggish, acceleration inconsistent, and small terrain imperfections can send you spinning out of control. It’s the kind of game that demands patience, but not always in a rewarding way. Some players will appreciate the challenge and laugh off the absurdity of getting stuck on a small bump, while others may find it maddening. There are moments when progress feels dictated more by luck than skill, and that unpredictability can turn frustration into fatigue during longer play sessions. The repetition of similar tracks and limited vehicle variety doesn’t help, as the experience can begin to feel monotonous once the novelty of the challenge wears off. Still, there’s a strange charm to Russian Roads that’s hard to deny. Its roughness feels authentic rather than lazy, as though the developer intentionally leaned into imperfection to reflect the reality of its subject matter. There’s a humor in its struggle—watching your car flail helplessly in the mud or topple over a slight incline has an absurd comedy to it that many players find endearing. It’s a small, scrappy game with a distinct personality, and while it may lack polish, it makes up for it with sincerity. The design communicates an understanding of what makes off-road driving unique—not the thrill of competition but the satisfaction of persistence. It’s about learning the quirks of the road, the feel of the terrain, and the patience to adapt when things go wrong. That philosophy runs through every inch of the game’s muddy design. Despite its flaws, Russian Roads has earned a modest following among fans of niche indie driving simulations. It’s not a game built for mainstream appeal, nor does it try to compete with high-budget racing titles. Instead, it occupies its own peculiar niche—a rough, challenging, and sometimes exasperating experiment in off-road realism. For players willing to look past its crude graphics, unrefined controls, and repetitive structure, there’s a certain rugged satisfaction to be found in mastering its unforgiving terrain. It’s a game that celebrates persistence and imperfection, a reminder that sometimes the journey—no matter how bumpy—is more rewarding than the destination. Russian Roads may be uneven and unpolished, but it succeeds in one important way: it captures the unpredictable spirit of the roads it’s named after, with all their mud, frustration, and stubborn beauty. Rating: 7.8/10 Russian Roads is a budget off-road driving simulator that focuses on navigating rough terrain, muddy tracks, and challenging country roads using classic Russian vehicles. While it lacks the polish and content of larger racing simulators, it offers a surprisingly enjoyable experience for players who appreciate simple off-road driving and vehicle upgrades. With its low price and straightforward gameplay, it's a decent choice for casual racing fans.
