Played through the whole game twice on switch. Now playing through it on steam. I love the game and would even love it if it wasn't LoL themed, even though I play LoL. The turn-based combat has refreshing mechanics like e.g. the lane mechanic that make it that the turn-based combat doesn't feel stale. Hope the studio is working on another game in this style.

I would love a neutral rating for this specifically. Storytelling, Artistic Direction and Combat System are great. Characters are good, especially Braum & Illaoi. Nothing is really outstanding but it's a good experience. HOWEVER, The difficulty... I like playing hard turn-based games, so I tried the game on the hardest difficulty. I allowed myself to lower it on one of the bossfight in the end
Thresh
and then went back to highest. Some point later, the game started to bore me. Basic fights took so long, without being harder. Heroic difficulty is just extra HP at this point, which is unbearable. So I switch back to Veteran, which was still very long. So I can't be bothered to finish side quests. It's either too easy or too long. + it's a game from riot, so it's buggy. Got softlocked once. and had other issues (which I honestly can't remember I'm reviewing this a long time after playing). I liked playing it but I would never want to start a new save or going for 100%
Its pretty buggy but a good time if your familiar with the league of legends character and want to see them interact with eachother withouth having to play league of legends
I had a great time with this game. I felt the turn-based combat had some great mechanics in the lane system to keep it from being similar to other turn-based combat games. The story was fun enough and offered a lot for a fan of League. I haven't wanted to engage with the League game for a long time so it was nice to see characters I used to be invested in again - and a variety of them too. I found that I generally wanted to stick to the same cast of characters throughout - but sections of the game force you to use certain champions which was a nice feature as it got me out of my comfort zone in terms of team building. I would say that I think the enemy types could do with some diversity. A lot of them are just reskins over and over with greater health and slightly different mechanics. I played the game on Normal and didn't so much have a hard time barring a couple of fights where I had misunderstood the mechanics. I also didn't feel much need to explore side content but maybe that's just my playstyle.
