Reviews

Ruined King was not only a delightfull treat to play both as a league player and a turn based game lover but also strenghen my point that anything that is NOT League but related to the game is better than the game it drives on. It's a decent lengh turn based adventure game with very unique twist, games central mechanic is lanes divided into speed balance and strengh, speed allows you to act quick but reduces the abilities value balance is its default value and strengh delays the attack but amplifies it. this combined with various buffs or debuffs you can face makes the game an absolute treat. Combat never feels one note despite game having a pretty medium sized package thanks to all these buffs and new designs given to 2 of the champions, Ahri and Miss Fortune feels like a drastic update to their original desings My one and only complaint about this game is that despite having a good amount of content some areas are clearly meant to be linear as they can feel chore to backtrack into but for me that was pretty rare and I hunted down a good chunk of the content Overall Ruined King is a fun and palatable title for both league players or turnbased adventure lovers and I definetly recommend giving it a go (Just don't get fooled into playing League of Legends couse of this 🙂)
My favorite parts about league is the lore, strategy, and item building, and this game offers just that
I didn't like it at first, but I'm finding myself invested in the story line. I'm normally more keen on exploration than lore, but this one has been keeping me interested. The battle type is a bit new. You can launch instant hits to gain overpower points, or you can choose from the Lane skills, which require mana. From the lane skills you can manipulate, to an extent, which order turns will occur. Braum, for example, can push enemies back in the lane, giving himself an extra turn before the enemy can take their action. Mind you, I'm just starting out and about to hit Grey Harbor, but the game is growing on me. Movement is a bit like Diablo-type games, but it's wonky with a keyboard because the right mouse button is the movement key. You do have the ability to swap things around. Gear isn't falling out of the sky as it does in games like Grim Dawn, Diablo, PoE, Torchlight, etc . . . but it has a neat enchantment system where you have more control over what your gear becomes (crit, attack power, stamina, life gain, etc . . .). As such, materials are what you pick up and receive as rewards more often than gear. With only 3 full left hand fingers I'm still able to play this, and I think a hand or arm amputee could get the controls set up to play this. Fishing is tricky as an amputee, but the mouse isn't needed, so I use both hands to control WASD to move the line and E to reel in. I'm sure I could set up my mouse (Naga) in some way, but WASD is deeply ingrained and tough to change. There is an automovement bug that's easily overcome on the pc. Fire off an action. Since I found out the right mouse button is the movement key I can easily override the bug. Diablo funked up the season rewards, so once I got what I wanted I quit with 60 or so days remaining in the season. This is a great filler game until the next season or while I'm waiting for something else to come out.
Fun and pretty to look at, especially for folks who play League. I wish there were fewer loading screens, but other than that - love the game!
This isn't an RPG, it is a television show with an occasional minigame. I do love Illaoi and Braum, don't get me wrong, it's a fun TV show, but if you want a League of Legends television show, just watch Arcane.
Good game, but I cannot recommend you to give money to the CCP controlled Riot Games.
