RUBATO, an experimental, 2D physics-based take on the collect-a-thon genre!
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

The year is 12,012. Multiquadrillionaire monopoly "GSSAI CO." has been in power of the universe for centuries after a world-ending bioweapon was unleashed onto the masses. And now? The solar system has been destroyed by unknown celestial forces. A weapons development program run by the Earth subsidiary of "GSSAI CO." is fast progressing. And the world's denizens are disappearing.
That is until one man screws up a game of pool.
Use your tongue to lick enemies and objects as you make your way through open metroidvania-like areas, whilst collecting "Planet Bits" to help fix the solar system!
5 compact, densely packed areas ranging from a huge sprawling bakery to the world's most poorly planned city. Uncover secrets and shortcuts in every corner of the world.
A strange, funny plot with a deep focus on humour and character writing. It gets silly. It gets serious. Really concerningly serious. Uh. Is the guy who made this game okay..?
To save the world, you must save yourself first. Find yourself again.

RUBATO is a fun little game about a frog that can do silly things with his tongue, like grabbing and pulling objects or attacking enemies. There’s also a ton of funny jokes that genuinely made me chuckle! But in contrast, the game also has really deep lore that you see glimpses of but eventually piles up. One part of the game near the end genuinely made me cry a bit. Please play this funny lil frog game, you won’t regret it.
This was the first game to ever sell a rubatillion copies
One of the best games I've ever played. If you don't like the game.. yes you do just play til the ending. Can't wait for the revamp update to play again

One of the most interesting games I've ever played. It made me laugh really hard. Story is good. Gameplay is good. Minigames are good. Surprisingly emotional for a frog game. If you like platformers at ALL I recommend it. Very goofy time guaranteed
A real frog was used to get the physics right. Frog Physics.
I came here for a fun and silly collectathon adventure and ended up flipping between crying and laughing by the end. I found myself resonating with the story and adventure in a much more personal way than I was expecting going into it, and honestly I think it really pulls off such a great heartwarming message of self encouragement and legacy while also still being a really goofy and fun to play platformer. It was such a wonderful game, cannot recommend it enough, thank you for the experience.
Criminally underrated, and I don't say this often. I really thought this game would be a hit when I first watched it's trailer. RUBATO's cutscenes are phenomenal and genuinely left me speechless. The trailer is only a small taste of what the game has in store for you, and yes the soundtrack really is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. I know Steam reviews aren't a good indicator of the game's reception on it's own, but I am seriously shocked to see that RUBATO isn't sitting at 1000+ reviews with an overwhelmingly positive score.
Oh.... it's Peak I see... it's awesome and cool and great and you should play it... Oh...
