About
About ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN
Take control of the protagonist Romeo Stargazer in this third person singleplayer action adventure, split into various chapters. His story is both unpredictable and littered with intense battles, interspersed with side missions to suit the player's pace.
A story that transcends space-time
This game's story starts with space-time itself being shattered by a certain incident. Romeo, too, on the brink of life and death finds himself revived by a new kind of super technology. Thus he is recruited for the FBI's Space-Time Police as a special agent, and wanders the cosmos in search of criminals who've taken advantage of the situation at hand in an attempt to bring justice back to the universe. At the same time, he looks for clues concerning his missing girlfriend Juliet, and quickly comes to find both her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. Donning the mask called Deadgear, what awaits Romeo at the edges of space-time?
Fight blood with blood
Romeo switches between swords and guns to fight. Wipe out the waves of enemies that stand in your path to give birth to a new kind of bloody action, and take down the fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo's special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo's various weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward as he takes on even stronger enemies.

Game doesn't support ultrawide resolutions (nothing exactly new coming from Japanese developers for quite some time) but at the time I'm writing this the mods available are a pain in some way or another. Performance is quite a problem in the tv sections for some reason. tried it on a MSI CLAW A8. I might come back once I find better support either from devs or fans (hopefully devs even though I kinda doubt it).
Great fun especially, if you like the Suda weirdness. Can be a lil repetitive, and I am slightly disappointed there is only one pro wrestling move. But highly recommend.

I am a fan of No More Heroes, so the gameplay was right up my alley. Some baffling design choices, like giving you all the weapons basically in the first stage, poor enemy variety, monotonic levels and especially the final gauntlet hold it back. The story is interesting, odd, and completely indecipherable without a 6 hour Youtube essay, which is par for the course for Suda. Keep on doing your thing, you weirdo.
this is the Perfected form of a Grasshopper Hack and Slash.
Romeo is a 10/10 man.
I mean... it was fun but I dont know what I just played. It was like some kind of fever dream where events and circumstance can change at any time. Story seemed to be stitched and reworked as you played through. In the end everyone should have ptsd from growing their own undead hoard to fight body horrors your love interest actively assisted in or created on her own. For some reason you still want to date her even though your love interest was responsible for the death of untold masses through out time. She not only knew about what she was doing but promoted torture. Yet ... you are perfectly fine with that. Even if events were unwound through time the characters still remember (at least it would seem that way in the epilogue). No one seems upset about the masses of undead... Ugh, well, turn off your brain for this one.. the colors are pretty. Also, need a 50% off sale on this to buy. Finished much to early on the value of time to cash spent.
Played through this game twice and I'm still not exactly sure what happened, but I loved it. A great action game with incredible style.
puts "AI art" to shame
