About
About ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN
Take control of the protagonist Romeo Stargazer in this third person singleplayer action adventure, split into various chapters. His story is both unpredictable and littered with intense battles, interspersed with side missions to suit the player's pace.
A story that transcends space-time
This game's story starts with space-time itself being shattered by a certain incident. Romeo, too, on the brink of life and death finds himself revived by a new kind of super technology. Thus he is recruited for the FBI's Space-Time Police as a special agent, and wanders the cosmos in search of criminals who've taken advantage of the situation at hand in an attempt to bring justice back to the universe. At the same time, he looks for clues concerning his missing girlfriend Juliet, and quickly comes to find both her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. Donning the mask called Deadgear, what awaits Romeo at the edges of space-time?
Fight blood with blood
Romeo switches between swords and guns to fight. Wipe out the waves of enemies that stand in your path to give birth to a new kind of bloody action, and take down the fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo's special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo's various weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward as he takes on even stronger enemies.

Look buddy you either get it or you don't
This game was absolutely trippy from head to toe, definitely Suda at his most unhinged, and I love it for exactly that. The combat is an evolution to No More Heroes 3 with its Bastard System, which is great because I loved No More Heroes 3. I found all the characters to be endearing, most of all Benjamin Stargazer. I always love when David Bowie gets immortalized. I just wonder if this is the direction Grasshopper games are gonna go moving forward, because right now anything is possible. Either way, I'm here for whatever that guy does next.

Performance is atrocious. Constant stuttering and fps dips in what's supposed to be a hack and slash is wild. Looking forward to giving this game a fair shake once fixed, hopefully patches are on the way cause as is, this ♥♥♥♥ ain't it.
Nobody else makes games like this. Romeo is unadulterated creativity. It's raw. It's fun. It's serotonin for my brain.
Romeo Is A Dead Man is a hack 'n slash, action adventure game w/ a story that was made by someone smoking weed laced w/ crack and fentanyl. Game is off the wall and trippy AF. This is my first ever Suda 51 game and I must say: HE'S AN ABSOLUTE MAD LAD.
Lo único malo que tiene es que está hecho en UE5
This is a very Suda51 game, for better and worse. If you like the early very "Suda forward" Grasshopper games like No More Heroes 1 and Killer7, you'll probably enjoy this game well enough. If not, you'll probably be kinda confused why anybody likes it at all. Really I'd say enjoyment of this game kind of comes down to whether you're fine enjoying a game which uses video games as a general audiovisual medium to experiment with and do different and interesting things with formatting. My review of the gameplay is that it ranges from "serviceable" (the combat) to dull (the Subspace sections). My review of the plot is that it's presented in an interesting way, but actually kinda generic when you break it down to its component parts. But as an experience, where I never knew what stuff was waiting around the corner? It was pretty fun. Even when I found myself sprinting past all the optional combat sections partway through the game (the Magrus section in particular began to overstay its welcome so much I never fought any enemy I wasn't forced to again) I did still find myself looking forward to the next cutscene and how exactly it was going to be presented. If you're curious but on the fence, I'd say wait for a sale, but I definitely think the game is worth playing just to see all the fun stuff inside. Or just for the soundtrack alone TBH.
Romeo is a good man but Romeo is not a stable man play on console
Feels like The Killer is Dead on steroids. However it runs very poorly on the deck. Its a slideshow and even crashes. I put up for 5h but its unbearable. Get it on a console or if you have a NASA PC.
ts is gas. if you actually play and like games and arent a weak ass tourist this is your ♥♥♥♥, these are the experiences you play for.
